The purpose of this story is to tell of my childhood experience in public education and to explain how as a Teacher I will do things differently.
The entire story will be less than 5 mins and have the portions of the songs playing in the background as I read my story.

Firstly I am a huge fan of Pink Floyd and have been since my Dad first played it for me when I was little.
I have just finished Directing my Graduation Film for my University course in Film Production called “Decompressed”. The story is about a young soldier returning home from a tough tour in Afghanistan and trying to reconnect with his best friend, which is in itself a challenge, as the sights he witness changed his perception on his own existence.
The film boils down to the emotional breakdown of the returned soldier where he explains what he saw first hand and in a wider picture his belief of war in general. It is for the ending that’s I believe that the song “Wish You Were Here” would be perfect to use to finish the film, as it finally shows the reconnection between two best friends after a very tough ordeal.
The film is a true story based on my own experiences, so is a very personal project for me. It also means that every piece of information included in the film military or otherwise is 100% accurate.

EMI has placed a “Copyright Violation” complaint on one of my videos which uses my own remix of “Another Brick in the Wall”, so YouTube has blocked it.
The remix utilizes various portions of the Korn, Manson and Pink Floyd versions of the song with a montage of images and video depicting how Americans are being brainwashed. I grew up with this music, and I feel the video captures and updates the essence and original message that the band originally intended. Unfortunately, in doing so I seem to have made someone at EMI uncomfortable.
I feel the political message is the real reason EMI continues to object to the video since others are allowed to use the same music in their videos with impunity. I would like to share the video with someone who might be able to persuade EMI to change their minds and allow my video to go public again.

The image … shows a white ray of light descending through a triangular prism
from right to left. Two of the prism’s three corner points are pointed up and its sharpest point is pointed straight down from there.
The prism splits the light into six rainbow-color upward rays that exit to the left.
I plan to label the prism and each of the six rays to make an analogy to driving.
I’ll gladly attribute the image part to Pink Floyd or I will not list any attribution
if your decision maker(s) prefer(s).
This prism image helps convey the tutorial message of safe dring which in turn will honor the image and its source.
