I find myself listening to Meddle mainly just to hear OOTD and Echoes, and then I find myself listening to the rest of the album.
Lumiere Wrote:Good album.

Echoes is one of the best Floyd tracks ever. One Of These Days is great too.
yeah. I love Echoes. I can listen it 10000000 limes and find something new, like in Wish you were here or Shine on... And i think san tropez is good. I'm gonna buy this album soon
I'm not so keen on the atmospheric part about 13 minutes in, but it resumes its awesomeness soon enough.
Fearless and POW would've been a nice addition to David's DVD.

I thought it got massive acclaim?
I picked up Meddle for my love of the songs "One Of These Days" and "Echoes", which I had heard first on the Live at Pompeii video. I still prefer those live versions to the studio recordings, but the album versions are still excellent.

I prefer the drums on the LaP version of "One Of These Days", but the song is still pretty powerful. I think that it would be better if at the part where you hear "One of these days I'm going to cut you into little pieces" that the drums were a bit louder - it seems like it should be a place for more a forceful section rocker... Perhaps it's just my ears glare

"A Pillow of Winds" and "Fearless" are great songs in my opinion. I've always been a fan of the sound of the combined vocals of John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison, and these two songs just remind me so much of their singing style.

I'm still getting used to "San Tropez", but it is a pretty good song. I've heard most people say that "Seamus" is kind of out of place in the album, and I'd have to agree, but it's definitely an entertaining track. It's the first song I've ever heard a dog have a pivotal role in the vocals :)

I'd say about 90 percent of the Amazon.com customer reviews of Meddle say that "Echoes" is an "epic". It is truly one of my favorite songs. Period. I prefer David Gilmour's playing on the LaP version, but it sure is great to hear the song uninterupted.

I really like this album. That's my two...er... 1507 cents ...
I guess it's time to come out of the closet and say

Meddle is one of my LEAST FAVORITE pink floyd album...

that's right, I said it...

least favorite

please don't hurt me....
You're entitled to your own opinion. I'm not terribly keen on it, but it's a very good album that's an enjoyable listen.

Can I ask why you think this?
