Steve Hill Wrote:Not Now John was on The Final Cut and although many consider it a Roger solo album, it definately says Pink Floyd on the cover. Also, since Not Now John is largely sung by David, it can hardly be considered a Roger solo.

Edit: Doing a copy and paste job in word, it looks like closer to 294 words, Dogs on the other hand is almost 400. So I am a little confused. ???
Like I said, I didn't count every word in every Floyd song. I saw this question in MOJO magazine, and their answer was Not Now John, and they said it has 459 words. So there.
Hey Eugene, (this is Henry McLean), I am not doubting what you said, all I am saying is I copiued and pasted each of the songs lyrics into word and selected word count and it came up with 294 and 390-something respectively. I am confused with what was printed in Mojo, and even worse is I think they got their information from the Pink Floyd encylopedia. I am just wondering if I am looking at the wrong information.
I know you're not doubting anything, I myself was puzzled that they said what they said...when I wrote into MOJO's Floyd contest my guess was Dogs. The "so there" bit was a joke, not a pissed-off rebuke; you'd have to do far worse than that to get my dander up. I guess this is an unresolvable issue.

So here's another question; I'm feeling lazy so it's another chart one: Following Dark Side of the Moon, what is the lowest chart position of a non-live and non-compilation Floyd album in the US? In the UK?

I know it wasn't a rebuke, just saying my disgust that if I can find the number of words in 3 seconds and it is a different answer to that in Mojo, there must be something wrong somewhere, puzzled as to what they were going on though. I'm just saying don't take Q or Mojo as bible, they are very often wrong, (according to them, dsotm has sold less than the 20 million sales of the wall).

In answer to your question though, and assuming you mean studio album post darkside AND the album with the lowest highest position, it was final cut, (6), in us and wall/momentary lapse, (3) in uk.
Very true. I'll try to get at least two sources next time.

As far as the current question goes, those were the criteria I was thinking of, and you are correct.
Here's a quickie, how many concerts were performed by the five man floyd?
I think there were just five, in January of 1968.
Ironically enough, yes. Although the band members are unsure how many they played with syd and dave, (Dave is on record as saying he thinks they played four and the fifth was when they left him), there seems to be enough sources to confirm five performances.
OK, I haven't asked one lately, so...what is anoither name for "The Pink Jungle"?
Bugger, I forgot that exactly. Was it a section of Interstellar Overdrive used in the Man and the Journey?

I'm going to check and if it isn't, i'm not posting the real answer.
