Going with The Wall on this one, as much as I love DSOTM's lyrics.
The Wall just has a tighter grip lyrically
I voted for Wish You Were Here because is my fav albumBiggrin
For me, I just find that I listen to the words and the emotions of what is being told in the songs of The Wall and The Final Cut. While to remark on the companion poll, it is the music of The Dark Side of The Moon, Wish You Were Here and Animals that most attract me.
Animals i think, just a great album in general, The Wall and WYWH are close too
DSOTM........... if only for the lyrics to BREATHE........(thems some good lyrics.)
I had to go with The Wall. It's just so intricate, and a lot of the times I can relate to the character Pink. Also songs like Vera just get into your head and move you. Close seconds were Dark Side (if only for Time, maybe the best lyrics of any single song), and The Final Cut. A lot of people voted for Animals, and while I like the lyrics on that album it's really the music on Animals that I love.

BTW, Amused to Death has better lyrics than any Floyd album IMO.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna have to listen to some of Rog's solo stuff; perhaps I've sold him short based on TFC. I've heard some good things about Amused to Death - any other suggestions?
Gotta go with Meddle. Echoes, Fearless, Pillow... Nothing short of genius:

"And through the window in the wall come streaming in on sunlight wings: a million bright ambassadors of mourning"
"So I throw the windows wide, and call to you across the sky"
"no-one knows the wheres or whys, but something stirs and something tries, and starts to climb towards the light"
"And as you rise above the fear-lines in his brow, you look down, hear the sound of the faces in the crowd."
"I rise like a bird, In the haze when the first rays touch the sky, and the night winds die."

Pure poetry.
oh yeah and "One of these days I'm going to cut you into little pieces!" lol

DSOTM is definitely runner up: "And then one day you find ten years have got behind you, no one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun."
its so close between dark side and the wall but i had to go with the wall...i can realate more to it for some reason it seems
