Here's the moment of truth....

What's your number one favourite album cover.
PLEASE just choose one only and why?

Okay; much like the Beatles album covers, Pink Floyd is also a band with innovative album cover art and choosing just one is supremely difficult. I must confess I like all of them (yes, even More, The Wall and The Final Cut). Here's mine...

A Momentary Lapse Of Reason.

I chose this because of the idea; I mean a whole lot of beds on a beach! A maid! Just the idea and the time and effort (much like with Animals) Storm and his team did deserves a round of applause. Remember, those are all real beds not computer generated imagery, for all you young 'uns.

Dark Side of the Moon


2nd would be Wish You Were Here

Well, Dark Side of the Moon has taken on iconic status, so that is the obvious choice. However, I would actually opt for The Division Bell, as I love the optical illusion and, also, how you don't realise for ages when you first see it and then, when someone points it out, it sounds obvious.

I also love simplicity yet surreal nature of the Animals cover, and I feel that it was an amazing idea to do that in front of Battersea Power Station (it is a very funny story about how the day they 'attempted' to take the photo), and Wish You Were Here, as you just have to love the idea of a split personality, shaking hands with his burning and evil other half.

All in all, most of the Floyd album covers are great, and they have many considered to be among the greatest, another thing to add to the overall aura of the band!

My favorite cover has to be Wish You Were Here. The handshake is just so....awesome and kind of creepy as well. Its a pretty dramatic photo but very well done.

Agreed. WYWH isn't my favorite album just for the music...the cover is great too.

I think mine is Animals. Such a great cover.

It's a very captivating picture.

Thirded. What a great cover, it is definitely my #1 favorite cover of any artist (Alexisonfire's Watch Out! being #2)

Wish You Were Here.....I got tired of DSOTM and btw WYWH is my fav album of all time

I second Wings on the Pig... but I think Animals has got a really nice cover too...
and what about the Ummagumma one?
