Hi all, I found this board a while ago and have finally got around to joining. I hail from Brisbane, Australia and I've been a Floyd fan since 1987, when I was 15 and they were receiving a lot of exposure in the wake of Momentary Lapse. I loved Learning to Fly and before long I had Dark Side of the Moon on continuous rotation. My first discovery of pre Dark Side Floyd was when I chanced upon an old VHS copy of Live at Pompeii at the local video store. Thinking it was from the recent tour, I was then blown away by Echoes and all the old material they played. As a result I worked my way back to Ummagumma, and its killer live version of Astronomy Domine in turn led me back to Piper at the Gates of Dawn and on to the sad, beautiful albums of Syd Barrett. I love all eras of the band, but still can't go past Dark Side as the perfect album. Never saw them live (I live in hope!), but I saw Roger in 2002 and again earlier this year, both of which were brilliant performances.

Hey everyone! The names Sam and I am a major Pink Floyd fan. My dad got me into them, but I didn't really start getting into them until a few months ago, when we bought The Wall. My dad has been a fan since 1975-1976, and loves DSOFTM, WYWH, and Animals. So, I have to thank him for the exposure.

I love being on the computer and talking to others. I play the electric guitar and have been playing that for 3 years. I also love to play sports and workout.

I can't even listen to another band and haven't been able to for months. I admit I'm obsessed with the Floyd.
