The other week I bought Syd Barrett's greatest hits. Wouldn't you miss me? I think that the CD is just extroardinary, because you can just see how much of a genious he really was. At least I think so anyways. Has anybody else heard this album and have any feedback on it?
Yeah, I have it. It's a great album and Two of a Kind & Bob Dylan Blues are only available on that compilation, and they're 2 great songs. Seeing as I now have the other three albums I hardly listen to it anymore.
Just keep the music alive. Syd was WAY ahead of his time! way ahead.

It's only recently that I've started checking out Syd's solo stuff. Only track I've heard though is Octopus at the moment.

It's very interesting stuff. Keep checking it out, you will be surprised with the stuff you will hear

indeed.
check out The Madcap Laughs if you're just new to his stuff.
that's what I did . . . a loonnggg time ago

Even if you have Crazy Diamond or the albums, this cd is worth purchasing. All the songs are remastered and sound better. There is Bob Dylan Blues which is not on the other releases.
If you are new to Syd, then this is definitely the cd you want to purchase!
Wow! That's song means a lot to me.. I wish similar songs will be composed.

I haven't heard Syd's solo stuff so I can't say much but I'm glad I found some suggestions here :D so this is the dilema: what do I start with, greatest hits or a random studio album I find at the store?

If you've never heard Syd's solo stuff, here's three songs you should listen to, to see if you like it (you'd better

lol).
1. Golden Hair
2. Bob Dylan Blues
3. Baby Lemonade
