Candy and a Currant Bun was a b-side of the Arnold Layne single, so if you see it that way, it was a hit, since the Arnold Layne single broke into Top 20.
I wouldn't say so, although it is vastly better than its associated A-side in my opinion. But of course, my opinion is irrelevant. It is one of the more difficult of Floyd's early singles to find these days, unless you want to buy it as part of a box set which would be a waste of money if you already have all the other CDs in it, so no, I would not say that it was a hit.

No but it has to have one of the most Extraordinary guitar solo's I've ever heard. I don't mean technically I mean sound & Innovativeness. No one's touched this in 42 years.
