Do people get banned for fun around here? I saw a member who has been arounds since 2005 and had over 10,000 posts and it said he was banned.
Members do get banned here, sad, but true. The member you speak of has been banned before as well. A general forum rule is not to discuss disciplinary actions on the open forum.
I might add that the length of time someone has been around doesn't correlate with how well they follow the rules or contribute to the site. On a lot of forums I've been to in the past, including this one, people who post a lot sometimes get complacent with the rules and think they're above them.
