I don't know how many of you have heard of the show Cold Case or watch it regularly every Sunday night, but if you're not familiar with the premise of the show, it's basically a team of Philly homicide detectives solving "cold" cases, or murders where years or decades have passed with no finality to it. A big draw of the show is the use of flashbacks to the time the crime occurred and music from that time period to help set the scene. They've done many episodes over the last 7 seasons that feature only one artist's music....and now it's Pink Floyd's turn!

The episode will air March 21st (that's the tentative date) and these are the songs that will be featured in that episode: "Hey You," "Comfortably Numb," "Mother," "Marooned," "Time," "The Thin Ice" and "Wish You Were Here." A little heavy on The Wall, but at least they aren't using Money or ABITW Pt. 2.

The episode airs next Sunday! I hope everyone who can watch it, does. From the promo that aired after tonight's episode, it looks to be incredible.
Here's the promo for the episode:

Another example of how dramatic Pink Floyd's music is. I'm not much for this type of show, but I've heard it's very popular.
Thanks for posting Beth, the promo is cool.
If you've watched the show this season, you'd understand better why they chose the songs they did - obviously they wanted a lot of angst and I think they chose the right songs to set that mood.
I haven't, but the promo reflects how they used them to some extent.

It airs tonight at 10:50pm EST on CBS. The late start is due to CBS' coverage of the NCAA basketball tournament.
