It's funny looking at David in those actually because my dad said to me, "I love Gilmour's guitar playing, but he always has kissing lips when he's deep down in a solo." I guess he's never changed.

David gets into it when he's playing -- I told a friend once that he could be in the middle of a solo and the whole building could come down around him and he'd keep playing, he's that "locked in".

Well, he would definitely try to keep playing. But, I doubt he will.

A tad bit of hyperbole on my part, Joe. I'm sure if the building started to collapse, David would get his ass off the stage. It's just that he gets into a zone or some kind of mind lock where he just totally tunes out everything but his playing.

No, he'd definitely keep playing. Just like Beethoven did.

That would be a cool image, though. A building in ruins around him, David in the center of it all still playing through the 2nd solo in Comfortably Numb. Hell, that's damn artistic. See if can't find a building already in ruins and stick him in the middle of it.
