Cold Chisel was an Aussie band. Jimmy Barnes was the lead singer whom you might have heard of. He sung "Gonna have a good time tonight" with INXS. That song is on the Lost Boys soundtrack.

Oh. Him.

He seems to me like Bruce Springsteen except Australian and without anything that made Bruce Springsteen worthy.

.....

I'm thinking of moving

Other than Abbey Road and Joshua Tree, I'm not familiar enough with the rest to have an opinion. Abbey Road is a great album, Joshua Tree not that great.
I've never heard anything from Bon Jovi, wasn't he some kind of "poodle rocker"?

No, not quite. YouTube some of their videos. I like Bon Jovi, they're hardly the worst music to come out of the late 80s, but they weren't world beaters either.

absolutly right. All he does is scream in tune.

Rush I'm with you on, but I like the Eagles. They did some good songs. Not great songs, but good songs. I tend to favor the songs that aren't overplayed on classic rock radio like In The City, After The Thrill Is Gone and I Can't Tell You Why. I never hear those three much if at all, and hear way too much of Hotel California and every song on the Greatest Hits album.
I don't know much by the Eagles, I've only heard Hotel California (the album), but it was one of the worst albums I've ever heard. So I dunno.
Next time I post a "Top 10 list as voted for by the great Perth public", I'll consider leaving out the "great".Laughing
OK Computer was another album I'm disappointed didn't make the top 10.
