I don't know how many of you watched or are watching the Olympics, but during the fireworks after the lighting of the cauldron and all that jazz, Eclipse by Pink Floyd blared out across the whole stadium. Polly and David were watching, as she was live tweeting during the ceremonies, so I can only imagine how proud he had to have been, to have one of his band's songs played at such a prominent and important event.

Viva la Floyd!
I DVR'ed it, long weekend so I have just now watched it and all I can say is OMFG!!! Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! and I was just bitching about the lack of love for Floyd earlier in the program, lol
I was watching over the weekend and Bob Costas mentioned Pink Floyd when he was discussing the history of Earls Court.
Also, she posted a picture of David playing the guitar and (presumably) singing along as the Arctic Monkeys did "Come Together." Said his version was better. LOL
Did you all see the very beginning where the camera travels the whole length of the Thames from the start in a little stream, the camera eventually made it's way to Battersea where the pig was hovering over the power station, the camera then went on to Big Ben where they played 'Time'.
this was awesome!
Is there any truth to the rumor of Pink Floyd (or possibly just Nick Mason) playing at the closing ceremony? Has anyone heard anything?
Many rumours atm regarding Nick Mason playing drums to 'Wish You Were Here'. Can only sit and wait, and hope.
Nick Mason + either Roger or David are performing WYWH with Ed Sheeran. I must say I'm disappointed with this teaming-up. Why don't they just get Nick, Roger, David, Jon Carin and Snowy White to perform CN?

EDIT: Personally I think that it will be Roger who does it, seeing as Ed is a guitaris/singer he'll be doing Dave's bits..... badly. Oh God why is this happening? Is this how Pink Floyd are to go out? Selling out and performing with one of the modern music industry's overrated musicians who will only be remembered in 20 years for this very event? Is this how the Pink Floyd legacy ends? I'm disappointed....
I really, really, really............and so on

hope that either David or Roger are involved. Preferably David, because to me that's one song that needs to be sung by him.
