I have decided that Echoes is the greatest PF song of all time, there is little point in arguing with me :p
Seriously though, i cant think of any other song that can calm me in the way Echoes does. It doesnt matter how bad my day is going, just close your eyes and drift off.

Echoes is my second favorite after Dogs, but I definately agree with the calming ability of that song. I have been extremely mad or upset on many occasions and listening to that song never fails to settle me down and make me feel a lot better.
I haven't been able to find many that agree with me, but Shine On You Crazy Diamond (both parts) is definately my favorite PF song. No other song is able to give me goosebumps and send a shiver down my spine like that one.
Shine On at best is 10th best for me. In fact, I don't thin k it's that high.

I feel the same about SOYCD, but I still think Echoes is better

I tend to listen to SOYCD parts 1&2 back to back (or parts 1 through 9 if your from the US) I prefer the longer more Epic Floyd songs so you are not alone mate
