I really loved both of these songs, especially Leaving Beirut. Roger's political statements ring true, and it's very much how I feel about the world today.
I've never really heard any of Roger's other solo stuff, but I loved these two recent songs. I can't wait for the new album.
Why does everyone seem to hate the new songs?
I think Roger went a little overboard with all the Bush bashing last year. But I still repect his opinions, and NO ONE does it better than Roger when it comes to political commentary in music!

I cant wait to Rogers new CD comes out.
I have all ready put some money aside for it.

Well I liked them. So, for a start we`ve proved not everybody hates them.
I agree with you, Welcome to the Wall. I really liked both of these songs, especially Leaving Beirut...Waters is great at imagery, isn't he? I felt like I was there. Brilliant work.
