today was my second guitar lesson.
Cool
Congratulations, I've been taking guitar lessons from the same guy for....about 6 years now.
I taught myself how to play, it's a real challenge gl.
yeah I'll get lessons when I finish piano
You play piano aswell? I'm impressed. Now I don't feel lonely anymore! :p
y do u play piano 2
i advise you to get an acoustic guitar first. Then, after about half a year, you should get an electric with a 10 or 15 watt amp. That'll get you started.

O yeah, start off with a relatively beginner guitar, nothing heavy at first.
yes acoustics are ok to start off with i started with a strat and worked up from there but acoustics would be a good way to start u can tell the diffrence tho wen u switch to electric
When I started playing, I had a cheap second hand, bad condition hondo les paul.

Im self taught and been playing for a year and a half, yet, I'm so much better all the guitarist I know who have been playing for as long as me, and even some who have been playing longer.

It all depends on how dedicated you are. When I started, I never put my guitar down, now I can play next to anything, I just need to start writting stuff now.

If u plan on teaching ur self, i suggest learning how to read tabs (there are plenty of gd sites on the net that can teach). then learn a song u think sounds easy. the first songs i learn were smoke on the water, come as you are and seven nation army.

After that i suggest u start learnin the chords and wat ever, cause, when i started, i couldnt get used to switing between chords atal, so i learnt a full song (i believe in a thing called love by the darkness) and after i was fine to switch between chords an then move onto harder songs.

The key to learning, is to never give up to matter how slowly you progress. youl get there eventually!
