Everybody seems to have a sweet spot on their amp they love to keep it at. I use a Behringer GMX-212 with two 50 watt Jensen speakers. Settings:
Amp - "British"
Mode - "Clean"
Speaker - "U.S."
Low - 10
Mid - 4
High - 6
Presence - 6
Drive - 2.5 (adds a necessary volume boost)
That's a pretty full sounding tone. Set to those Amp and Speaker settings it doesn't have an overabundance of lows, so that's why I have the lows at 10. If I put the Amp on "Calif" setting, it has ridiculously overpowering low end. Those particular Amp and Speaker settings have a good amount of mids too, I like to keep my mids pretty high but not high enough that the sound becomes muffled. I hate highs so I generally keep them as low as possible while still sounding relatively clear. I also cut them back a bit with the Presence dial, which is basically a tone dial but just on the amp instead of the guitar.
Yeah, I pretty much obsess about this constantly.... :D
