Anyone make the SF show on Friday? I'm gonna try to make the Knitting Factory LA show tomorrow. Then its up to the San Diego folks for Sunday @ The Belly Up :music:
Well I caught the Easy Star All Stars last night at the Knitting Factory. It was extremely cool. Interestingly I thought their original material came off better by comparsion to their Dub Side of the Moon performance -- it just seemed like the original stuff was what they were more "all about." This is not to take away from the Dub Side -- they play it live very powerfully and the horns really work, especially on Any Colour! They also did Pass the Dutchie as an encore -- pure genius!

Anyway, it was really strange running into people wearing Pink Floyd shirts who came to the show because they saw an ad in the LA Weekly mentioning something about a performance of Dark Side of the Moon but who had never even heard of Which One's Pink? I picked up about 10 new potential W1P fans and sold two copies of A Fair Forgery of Pink Floyd (which came about only because the Easy Star merch table ran out of Dub Side CDs and people were asking me if it was worth buying). Anyway, if you are in San Diego tonight head to the Belly Up and check it out -- even if you hate reggae, this is a quality band that does a very credible job with Dark Side! rocker
I'm sooo jealous, dude! Couldn't even make the show when they came over here...boo-hooo! I'm thinking of buying both the dubside and fair forgery but can't find 'em in good ole Blackburn..don't have a credit card either so I'm screwed on that one.

Did they play anything from Dub Side? I completely forgot about this show. Plus I figured they would be playing mostly Radiohead in support of their new album. I'm bummed I forgot about this show.

Those of you into the CD, I highly recommend getting the DVD that came out recently. I'm not a big fan of reggae but I think this is probably the best Floyd cover album I have ever heard.
I guess I should've looked at the date of this post. They are playing S.F. on October 13. Of course it was the same night as the Tony Levin Band in S.F. which I am going to.
i am told by the bands agent that in the UK they are doing 2 sets, one for each album.
only 46 tickets left, with 11 days to go, this will be a SELL OUT!
