I had an excellent suggestion -- why don't the folks who post here regularly introduce yourselves? Are you in a tribute band, associated with a tribute band, and/or a tribute band supporter? Which one? I'll start

My name is Dan Johnson, I am the manager, pig snorter, one of these days, wrong do it again, ranting schoolmaster, lunatic brain damaged laugher of Which One's Pink?
Good idea W1P!

Hi everyone, I'm Alex Gonzalez of The Surrogate Band in Michigan.
I'm "Gilmour" in the group and have been into Floyd since freshman year in High School (i'll be 35 this March). Before that I was a dedicated student of Mr. James Patrick Page.
:;):
I just got married this past summer to Jen Johnston (backup singer for The Surrogate Band), and we recently got two puppies to keep us even more busy.
Jen has been very understanding of my tribute and Floyd obsession!
The Surrogate Band was formed in 2003 and we certainly hope 2007 will be a bigger year for us.

I am a CPA and work in the tax department of DTE Energy (SE Michigan's energy provider). Before that I worked for 10 years in public accounting doing mainly taxes and some accounting.
I also do all the bands accounting and taxes so feel free to ask me related stuff if any of you tributes want some general free advice!

Shine on to all of you!
Alex

Yup - Good scheme.

I am a Dave who often tries to be a Nick so, in the spirit of my whimsy, I'll save all my next words for a book.

I'm Steve

Currently trying to get a band together that will be both a Pink Floyd tribute band and play original material. So far I have me on keyboard, a vocalist and a few drummers and a guitarist who may be interested - it's a start.
A.J. - drummer, laser/light controller (yes I flub the beats sometimes because of this), booking, manager, graphic designer and webmaster for Spacement. You can find out more about me on my MySpace or Spacement website profile.

Hey Now -
I'm Eric "Eroc" Sosinski from Wish You Were Here, based in Cleveland, OH. I am the bass player/co-lead vocalist and leader/manager, producer, truck driver, tour manager, dishwasher, band mom, etc.
Started doing a Floyd tribute in 1988 with Harvest (& then Tie-Dye Harvest) until 1993, then formed Wish You Were Here in 1995. We play regionally, all over Ohio and occasionally into the surrounding states.
I'm a professional musician by trade, also playing with Midwest rocker/recording artist Michael Stanley (MSB), as well as juggling 4 other bands locally, including an acoustic duo, a blues band, and a couple classic rock bands.
I have also worked at radio stations here in Cleveland, both part-time & full-time, since '87.

Great idea rocker

I am Randy Hawes, with the official title of Business Manager of Hatrack Productions, which produces the band All In All It's Just....

I hail from Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, as do the rest of the band.

Unofficially, I am the booking agent, promotions manager, road manager, accountant, graphic designer, webmaster, merchandise manager, equipment van driver, roadie, chief cook & bottle washer.

And if they get really really REALLY desperate, I can man the drums ... very badly. :D

And after reading all that again, I think I'm going to ask for a raise!!!!!!
. . . but if you ask for a raise . . .
