wall fan Wrote:ive got to say the wall is the best album and the absolute best movie ever!!!

Two questions really.
1. Why do you have to talk about the Wall in every post you make?
2. Why do you use 10 emoticons every time you post?
Back to the topic, I haven't got any of his solo albums but am hoping to get them very soon.
Start with Amused to Death.
Thanks for the suggestion mabewa. I will start with getting Amused to Death as I have heard very good reviews about it.

I didn't particularly care for the 80's or poison for that matter and it's just a freaking pop record...get over it...
I REALLY LIKE RADIO KAOS, altho
1-Pro n cons
2-Radio Kaos
I really like Pros and cons..If just for Clapton and the Dobro parts
Radio Kaos has Always been # 2 for me..I guess I got the album at some point in my life that it stuck..Still listen to it a lot..but like Pros better
Never much cared for Amused to Death
I've noticed that most people only rank 3 albums for Roger. I would suggest that everyone take a listen at Roger's latest album. Yes, I'm talking about Ca Ira. No Roger's not singing, but his music is beautiful. Everyone should hear it, especially those who think Roger can't write some great music (and can only do lyrics). Check it out, it is more like a musical (think Les Miserables) than an opera, so I think most people would actually like it.
Also for those looking to get Roger solo stuff, you could always start with "In The Flesh Live" that way you get some classic Floyd and hear some Roger solo stuff-that's how I got started. (Also you can clearly hear that Roger can still sing!

Could you give me your opinions on the following, Erie? I don't have any of them and I need to complete my Roger collection. I just realized I have hours more of Jello Biafra related material than Roger Waters related material and was aghast!
Music From The Body
When The Wind Blows
The Wall: Live In Berlin 1990
In The Flesh Live
Ca Ira

In The Flesh is where I'd start on your list of things to get. It is breathtaking work. Roger's voice sounds good and the song choice is great toon, not to mention the awesome version of Shine On You Crazy Diamond. Roger also includes the great "Each Small Candle" which is beautiful.
Then I'd probably go for The Wall:Live In Berlin. Though some of the acts aren't the best, Roger does a great job and the company singing "The Tide is Turning" is a great finale-it is really spectacular.
Ca Ira is an opera, not a rock opera either. Roger never sings. Just realize that. I can't stress that enough. The music is fantastic though. You can here the Floydian influence Roger brings to the story of the days leading to the French Revolution.
As for the other two I can not comment. I don't have those albums. I am trying to find "A Flickering Flame" to add to my collection, but I will keep an eye out for those too.
I've heard Overture from Ca Ira. I loved it.
Well then go for it, I love it.
