Discovered that catatonia is the name of a very severe psychosis-type psychiatric illness when I was looking for something completely unrelated to any form of psychiatry on wikipedia.org, one of the world's greatest websites, a fountain of knowledge. Wikipedia's article lists Syd Barrett as an example of a famous person with this condition. There's been so much talk about which illnesses Syd may or may not actually have had.

Imagine what it would have been like if slygirl had have been one of Syd's hangers-on in 1967, the summer of love when he was at the height of his fame.

Sure is. Love the way its a GNU project built "organically" by the world's public. Would love to ocntribute an article but most of the things I know most about have already been done, and though you can edit the existing articles and add your own thoughts, not sure I'd want to jump in the middle of someone else's work. Great how all articles come under the GNU Free documentation licence meaning that they're free for all to cite from.
