i cant believe ive had that dvd for sooooooo long, the other day i decided to chuck it on again and was going through the special features things and found gilmour playing the guitar part to
"us and them " and its the most beautiful piece of music ,so moving.even though many of you's have probs seen it, here's the link to it. i love it.us and them link
Agree and the Us And Them chapter on the main film with Rick explaining the details always makes me want to listen to the whole song, it's cut way too short.
yeah , and it sucks how they dont show anything about "any color you like " i love that song.
That's really cool - the guitar just seems to speak.
The Bill Lewis guitar, it was used for the "Money" solo as well as it has 24 frets instead of 21, which is standard for a Stratocaster. I like the Bill Lewis...
this is great footage. we need to see the whole recording!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was used on Meddle for the solo in Echoes.... It was used on a few live performances aswell the tone was alot harder to control for David if you listen to some pre Obscured By Clouds shows he used it for Childshood End and its clear he was struggling an awfull lot to control the feedback.
You know someone just got me that dvd on christmas and I didnt think id care for it, but its a great collection piece with some great parts in it
Yeah this DVD is great, especially the extras with David Gilmour. Him playing Us and Them is absolutely beautiful and when I put the DVD in, I can't stop listening to these particular scenes. Absolutely brilliant.
I love it, David's guitar playing is just so emotional he's the guitarist that made me get a Strat.
