I personally prefer the Director's Cut, due to all of the coolio space footage. I love the lava flows in the beginning. Such awesome imagery. Pompeii is a great DVD.

Me 2 part 1 and part 2 of Echoes is brilliant they put so much passion and energy into it and Gilmours on fire during part 1.

Echoes Part 1 and 2,Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun,and Careful With That Axe Eugene are good ones on Live At Pompeii.

pompeii is an absolute classic!! for many years it was the only live performance available in the days of vhs. i enjoy the whole thing from start to end an outstanding body of work. the dvd release just made that much better a must have for ALL floydians.

I just watched Live at Pompeii for the first time in a while a few nights ago...man, I had forgotten how cool it was! :icon_cool: Great stuff.

I liked it very much, including the Director's cut. For me it is some of the best live footage from that time I've seen. I liked the studio out takes too! If Nick wants his pie without crust, then so be it! Lol Echoes and SFOS are my favorite cuts! One of my favorite PF CDs! Alans Psychede Breakfast probably would have been good within the commissary takes? To bad the about the lost footage! Would have liked to see more Roger and Rick!

I watched it for the first time a few nights ago, as I hadn't seen it since I had first got into Floyd and man, is it amazing. I forgot how powerful that version of Echoes is. Cool

The atmospheric space footage just constantly grabs me. I think that's a key part of the Director's Cut that really adds to the film and music.
