Well, according to them they have. And they call it the Fender VG Stratocaster, 4 pickups (3 Strat pickups and 1 Roland GK), 37 pick up combinations, ranging from Strat to Tele to Humbucker to 12-string acoustic, as well as a control knob for different tunings...

My mate says he played one of these at a shop in Manchester, and he said they're a bit shite, but he thinks anything that isn't a Les Paul with a bigsby is shite

well in my opinion just looking at it is shite lol cos all it is is a standard strat with a roland synth midi / fx pickup installed it isnt really that jaw dropping.

Well, they STILL haven't locked it down, so if you were a real whammy guy, you'd have tuning issues that come with no lock at the nut. I've always have been told; if the guitar/ strings are in proper order, then it isn't that bad, and that you will loose some tone with the lock
I've had a kayler on my explorer for years, but I'm not a slammer, just like to get some play on single notes.With all the digital toys out there, you COULD do this stuff in different methods, from MIDI to racks, blah blah. Some might really enjoy the onboard option, so it would come down to if the circuits behind the back/face plate where top notch. If you play one, and like it, then your down. It would be nice to go to the shop and booger with it. I'm open mined!! it would be nice to see Fender make a little comeback, I remember when if you didn't have a, "Jackson," you weren't made
