Which Pink Floyd songs do you think are radio staples and are way over played?
I definitely think "Happiest Days of Our Lives/Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2" is extremely over played.
What are your thoughts on this topic?

The normal ones you hear on the radio like "Happiest Days of Our Lives/Another Brick In the Wall Pt. 2, Money, and Wish You Were Here". Although I did hear "Hey You" last week on the radio. That was very odd but very cool.

Yeah once in a while you hear some cool stuff like the other day I heard Empty Spaces/Young Lust, and then Welcome to the Machine!

Well here in Belgium we have a classic radio station that often plays Pink Floyd. Even the very long songs are played sometimes.

Well of course radio is a business and they want to reach the greatest amount of customers with as little expenditures as possible at times. They are helping to sell music old and new and there must be compromise on the part of both the listener and the station. And not to mention that they simply cannot please all of the people all of the time.
There are those songs from Pink Floyd that do get played often but thank the stars that the songs are getting played.
Sure most of us have the albums and the downloads and can listen to them nearly anytime we want and by Crom, we wish that "Another Brick In The Wall, part II" could be replaced in it's rotation with some less commercial Floyd song just four times a year or something.
In most circumstances, however Floyd is one of those bands that I don't mind what song they play or how frequently; it's just good to hear it.
My brother have short lists we go over during some cookouts. Our newest "quality rock" radio station quickly disappointed us because within a month, he and I already remember the four or five songs from some artists they play. Naturally his complaints are different from mine. He says they play too much Steely Dan and that perhaps Jackson Brown has stock in the station while I grouch that they could remove more than a few Dave Matthews Band songs from their harddrives.
He may be indifferent to Pink Floyd however because he has not spoken remarks about hearing "Time", "Us And Them" or "Learning To Fly" too often on this station. I would remember a discussion like this because that would be the first time in a very long time that I punched my brother in the throat for such words.

No, just kidding...Probably Another Brick in the Wall Part II although Run Like Hell gets a good amount of play around these parts...
