Update: OMG!!! They are doing the full Wall show we are talking building the walls, ripping them down, and the puppets!!!

I really hope he keeps touring, but if I recall properly he said he wasn't going to do DSOTM complete anymore. Highlights would be good enough for me, I'd rather see him do his solo stuff anyway.

According to a source i know thats good friends with Ian Ritchie...I can comfirm that Roger is indeed working on a new tour.

Its funny because i first saw this yesterday afternoon and that whole yesterday morning mum and i were watching the In The Flesh tour on DVD and saying how we NEED him to come and how wonderful it would be if he comes out again! We both had a feeling he will and then i see this! <3

Hope the new tour is true. I just assumed by the huge change in background back to the DSOTM image that he is planning on touring again.
I hope he decides to play all of the Wall live!

Someone on the street stopped me and said they heard Roger was touring again this year and will be hitting my city. They stopped me because I was wearing a 2007 DSOTM Waters shirt.
They admitted that the info was not public, but they were quite sure it was gonna happen at that venue.
Only time will tell. I hope so!!!

At this point, I'd much rather have a new album release, but I've pretty much given up hope of that happening....ever! The show I'm not interested in really, as it's always the same setlist, once the tour gets going. Never varies. I've seen him plenty of previous times....maybe settle for a good live show download eventually.

ive seen Roger twice D.S.O.T.M tours .... really would like to see something different animals would be great ..you cant really go past animals in relation to what water sang on albums... mainly animals the wall and the final cut! which is limited to what roger waters can do on his tours...

actually he has been recording 2 solo albums which are supposed to be released sometime at the end of this year of next year and hes supposed to tour in support of that album. also there is a rumor of him doing the wall complete as the 2nd half of the show. which would be insane. also there are some people who suggest the utter silence from the waters camp maybe because gilmour, mason, and waters are planning a reunion. which i cant confirm im just saying its a theory haha

I do see that rumor on Wikipedia. But can't find it anywhere else. The Brain Damage article that it is referenced (10) is not up when you click the link on Wikipedia.

I've never seen Waters being to young but from what I've read in this thread the DSOTM Live tour wasnt so fantastic... I was Just wondering if someone could enlighten me to why it was so mediocre?

I saw the tour 2x and I would proberly go and see it again if that's all he did. I really liked the shows so I guess it's a personal preference. Roger is a smart man and I think we would do something different. I'm also pretty sure he know his fans are just dying for some news at this point but he does like to tourture us. Bad Roger.

Roger , love him or loathe him , is a bundle of energy and that comes through loud and clear live . The one thing that was missing from his shows was the rest of the band , Dave and Rick really supplied alot of the soul to the music , but you take what you can get .

I don't care what the hell he was playing, if he went on tour and grab a ticket the moment I could. I'm too young to have seen the Floyd or any part of them live, so this would be too good an opportunity to hear the music live to pass up. I've never heard Pink Floyd music live. I do hope that those of you who want to see him live do get the chance. He is incredible in concert, as are his back up singers. I only want to alert you that the man tends to NOT seperate his politics from his music. I won't say what his politics are, only that it angered Hubby and myself enough a few years back to walk out of his concert in Pittsburgh about half way thru, after paying big bucks for tickets. There was a pretty long line of people behind us, also leaving the concert. Sure, he had his money for that day, but I'd be willing to bet most won't be back. I know we won't. I wish musicians would keep their music separate from their politics. There's no need to mix the two if they're not performing at a political event.

His politics are just fine with me. Maybe that's because we are both part of the anti-war radical 60's & WW2 babies. He has pretty much had the same views for the last 40+years. He may not be consistent in his music but he sure his with his politics. I wasn't upset durning the DSOTM tour in either 06 or 07 & some of the remarks and things like Mr. Piggy were a little over the top for some people. I saw his Dark Side tour 4 times in 06'. Flew to Spain to see this guy and drove to so. cali as well. He is so worth it. Hope he comes back to the West coast. One can only wish.

Roger Waters 2010-2011 Tour News It's becoming clear that the 50+ dates that we reported a few weeks ago are North American dates only. It seems that the original idea of 8 cities with multiple dates has been scrapped and that this part of the tour will be a 50+ arena show. Information about the UK, Europe and other parts of the world is scant and we have very little information about that, it seems pretty obvious that this will not happen until 2011. The North American leg looks like kicking off in mid September, going through to mid December with rehearsals starting sometime in August. We have been contacted by a number of sources throughout North America with venues & dates but will not publish this information until it's officially confirmed by Roger's Management. (We don't want you making arrangements only to find out later that the information wasn't factual). Stay tuned to AFG for all the tour info.

i wonder if he will play a lot of shows at a lot of cities or if it will be like the original wall tour where he only plays select cities...either way...im going to see him :) i've been looking forward to this for far to long not to travel a little bit to see him...im about 5 hours from NYC and i would hope he would at least play there...but hopefully in buffalo

There will be no female back up singers for this tour. Hopefully he is sticking close to the original format of The Wall shows and having male backing vocals. Also it was confirmed by Roger's manager today that rehearsals for the show will start in the U.S. sometime during August.

This is exactly what I was hoping for.
I've seen Roger's Dark Side tour (amazing), the next logical show would be a Wall tour!
Out of all the possible things Floyd and/or Roger could do, the only thing I could think of that would be better would be a re-united Pink Floyd show.

im looking at flights etc. gonna cost me at least $5000 cos im planning on seeing at least 3 concerts, and im a fulltime student AND im working fulltime to save up for it, but it will be soooo worth it :)

I'm looking at flying to Vancouver near the end of the North American leg , was considering the Toronto date , but don't think I want to see the tour on the first night . I am also hoping they add some dates ( come back to Winnipeg Roger ) on the tour , specifically more Canadian dates .

I'll buy the dvd when it comes out. Not being a huge fan of the overall album, I just can't see paying the high ticket price for this. I'd have rather had a tour based on new music, which I guess we'll never see. Oh well....I'm sure it'll be a great show nevertheless. Maybe he'll do a surprise encore like "Pigs" or something else interesting...
As cevor mentioned earlier, I hope he can handle all these tour dates....he's no spring chicken. I give him lots of credit for taking this on though, and if it's what he wants his swan song to be, so be it!

But I would love to see a tour with new material....C'mon Roger...I know you have some new material. It's been 17 years since a new album and in that time we've has some sprinklings of what could have been a new album....

God, what a moment that would be for the crowd. Comfortably Numb kicks in, Roger's doing his bit and then BAM! Spotlight hits the top of the wall and there in his Black Strat glory is David Gilmour.

I just got 5 tickets for the Buffalo show in Oct. We bought w/ AMEX so we got early seats...125.00 each for floor seats row 34...not bad at all considering who we're seeing. We saw the Dark Side tour in 07 and we paid in the mid hundreds.. was a great show as well. Oct can't come soon enough!

I like to say that in april i'm going to the concert of Roger Waters The Wall in the netherlands.
I'm 20 years old and my dad told me all about pink floyd and learnd me to respect the music. He was there in 1990 the live concert of the wall and now i take him to this concert. I just wanna to say this here because i have to keep it a secret he gets the tickets this christmas i hope he will be suprised me and my sister arrange this.

My wife and I went to a show recently and it was definitely killer! We had the $100 lower-level seats that directly faced the stage so you could see everything and hear the full quadraphonic sound.
The visuals were spectacular, a great mixture of old/new. And Roger's sometimes annoying politics actually meld really well with The Wall. (I found them out of place during the Darkside tour).
My fave part of the show was by far Mother. It's egotistically awesome how he sings over a video track of himself from Earl's Court 1980. At the point in the show only part of the left and right sides of the wall re build and the angry 1980 Roger's head is in Mr. Screen...you can see the rest of his body shift back and forth with the ol Bass on the projections from the left/right sides of the wall. The real Rog is like an ant below the Giant roger and he belts out an awesome version of Mother. Everyone went crazy with the "Mother Should I trust the Government" and he projects "No Fucking Way" on the right wall!
Goodbye Blue Skye is by far my fave song and it sounded incredible. The new visuals I did not like as much as the original cartoon, but they were still very cool.
Don't Leave Me Now had a killer visuals with the Praying Mantis puppet grooving in front of dark yet trippy visuals cascading down the wall.
Early in the show, it was good to see that he enlists local kids from each city to do the children vocal parts. (The kids seem to be having a blast).
The quartet of backup singers sounded awesome just like the album!
It was awesome to see Snowy White and Jon Carin on stage yet again. The both have huge histories with Pink Floyd and Roger.
Lastly, I love how they end the show just like in the 80s with it getting knocked down and the whole band playing the live ending song "Outside the Wall" which is not on the original album but the live album.

Hey , just noticed on Roger's website that it is referring to the Wall tour as running from 2010 to 2012 , does anyone know if he is announcing more dates after the European leg is complete ?

I really hope he keeps touring, but if I recall properly he said he wasn't going to do DSOTM complete anymore. Highlights would be good enough for me, I'd rather see him do his solo stuff anyway.
