Hope I didn't miss any versions, just incase i put down an 'other' option.

I love the gilmour versions to be honest pulse first then abbey road probably...

Abbey Road

Ummagumma extended version by far the best :) :)

Here's a link to a superior version, in my opinion. The whole show is spectacular, with Grantchester meadows being amazing. Cymballine is also a standout.

ENJOY!!! :)

I'd have to go with the Piper version due to the presence of Syd. I have the film clip on my DVD recorder and it is just crazy to see Syd do his stuff. rocker

My fav version is the Take It Back single version, it's the b-side on the CD.

PULSE, definitely. The drums make it less of a 'static' song than the Piper version. The vocals are less inspired, but I don't care. The drums keep rollin' along, giving it the necessary flow that it needs. I don't know if they even differ from the studio version that significantly; maybe they're just louder. But from the few listens I've had of both versions, that's the impression I got.

Abbey Road is the ultimate performance IMO though there a some quality versions from 1994

- IbanezIsTheColour - 06-22-2007 09:27 PM

It was a Syd song, so naturally I chose the Piper one....with Syd.

pulse rocker rocker rocker rocker rocker

For everyone who says PULSE, I urge you all to listen to the Take It Back single version, it's like the PULSE version but better.

- Gilmour's Angst - 07-13-2007 06:51 AM

I'd have to say Ummagumma. Because not only do I love the way it's sung, but Rick's improv is absolutley beautiful.

Download "AresTube" it's a small piece of software that lets you download from YouTube, and converts to iPod or mp4. It downloads the .flv as well so if you download "Total Video Converter" you can have them in any format you want!

The studio from The Piper at the Gates of Dawn..both the ones on Ummagumma and PULSE aren't that good, though the Ummagumma one is loads better PULSE
