LPs: Morrissey's Viva Hate (1st solo album) - reissue; PF The Wall - original pressing; Beatles 1967-1970 - original pressing.

CDs: none, have had no new CDs since my birthday (late March), and rarely buy any.

Films: none.

Clothes: none, rarely buy clothes at all. Bought 2 pairs of shorts & a jumper from the supermarket (very cheaply) but that was probably 2 months ago now.

Am hugely overdrawn, so future purchases are limited until I leave university for the summer and get my old computer job back. When I have the cash flowing in then would like to purchase the MIDI keyboard for Apple's GarageBand recording studio software, a good digital camera, and a couple of dozen new LPs over the course of the summer.

I agree about the CD and clothes, but I think his financial sense for finding good, cheap, nutritious food cannot possible be brought into question.

Well done.

Bought the Frankenstein DVD set. The packaging seems to be of very poor quality but maybe I just got a bad one. But it's cool, here's what it contains:

Frankenstein (1931)
The Bride of Frankenstein (1935)
Son of Frankenstein (1939)
The Ghost of Frankenstein (1942)
House of Frankenstein (1944)

The first two are the only two I'm really intersted in as they are the only ones directed by James Whale, but the other still might be entertaining.

That's amazing album. I led a discussion about it on the forum a long long time ago. John's solo career was as respectable as George's though. In spite of the rubbish, he came up with songs such as Imagine, Jealous Guy and Working Class Hero, among the best in the universe ever. Let's not talk about Paul's solo 'career'.

- wowser - 08-02-2004 09:23 AM

i wouldn't say 'career' with such suspicion; as a career, Paul's solo work has been very sucessful. The music, however, has been very ****. Actually, Run Devil Run sounded OK

-Bad Reputation/Black Rose.

Rocking tune when you're that age rocker
But seriously, there are some good McCartney tunes, but hidden by all the other gash.

I've never liked any of the Beatles other than John as a person though, have a huge respect for them musically of course, but not otherwise.

- simps - 08-02-2004 11:59 PM

George and Ringo are very nice respectable people. John was a genius of course, but had a Jekyl and Hyde thing about him, as he usually admitted whenever interviewed.

You definitely have a fair deal of their best stuff then. Thunder And Lightning would be the only other thing worth directing you to, their attempt at the '80s rock thing, it's great. Personally, I think Black Rose is their best but yes Renegade is underrated as is Chinatown. The only reason they really get knocked is because the Snowy White years were such a drastic change to what Lizzy fans were used to. And, of course, Phil's drug use was stemming out of control.

Well, I used to have Thunder and Lightning on tape but I think I got rid of it since it's too hard for what I understand by Thin Lizzy (Nevertheless I've downloaded it just to add it to my collection). Alright, John Sykes is a good player but he pushed the band's sound towards heavy metal which didn't sit in well with me, but then again Phil couldn't care a lot since he was out of control due to his growing drug adiciton. Man, what a loss.

I like Snowy White's phase in Thin Lizzy, mainly the Renegade album. Angel of Death, Renegade and especially Hollywood are such great tunes. As for Chinatown I don't like it as much though I've barely listened to it yet. The Renegade album I've had it since 1990 on tape, and now on cd at last.

If you care to read my review you've got it here:

http://www.amazon.com/exec....6111854

- Bar - 08-03-2004 04:09 AM

Nice review, man, I'm just reading your others. John Sykes is a favourite of mine (See my avatar) but I can understand where you're coming from on the sound of the band at that time. Personally, I'm not a fan of Darren Wharton but Lizzy were on the sinking ship by that time anyway and he did co-write a few awesome songs. One nitpick about the review: Mexican Blood amusing? #1 I think it's an awesome song and #2 it's about murder.

I haven't got Gimme Back My Bullets but love a couple of songs from it (The title track, Double Trouble and All I Can Do Is Write About It) but your reviews definitely solidate my opinion on a lot of reviewers out there, especially AllMusic. I think I'll probably pick up GBMB soon.

Thanks for the compliments. There's many cds I'd have to review (My collection is a little over 300) but I'm afraid that if I did this too often all my reviews would look alike so I write one every now and then.

About Mexican Girl, I wrote 'amusing' because of the flavour of the music, not the subject matter, though I can't help smiling when Phil says 'he drank a little tequila'.

In regards to allmusic reviews, I agree with some of them but not always. For instance, they rate higher the pile of crap Come on Come on's Sheryl Crow is to the detriment of The Globe Sessions. This woman is a sellout to me by the way.
Other examples of reviews that make little sense to me include Gimme Back My Bullets (As a matter of fact, hurry up and get it, either 'legal' or from the web) of course, Renegade and Eagles' On The Border. Not that we have to agree with every review on that site but sometimes they leave me kind of puzzled.

You know, many women are not properly fitted in their brassiers and wear them improperly which may make them uncomfortable.
If you would like, simply send me 17 color and black and white photographs of you wearing the new bra and a few others and I would be more than happy to give you advice to help you choose more comfortable bras, swimwear and lacy blouses.

It is no trouble at all.

Haha, good one Laughing

With relation towards music, late last week I went on an Amazon spending spree (if you can count $38 on 8 discs a "spree" that is) and four of them arrived today.
The Firm - The Firm (my vinyl has just about had it)
Sonic Temple - The Cult (I seemed to have misplaced my cassette sometime)
The Best Of Marshall Crenshaw (I think cevor and sea green queen had some small part with that)
Muddy Water Blues - Paul Rodgers and a cast of thousands (been needing that one for a while and this one was an unopened copy from the "cutout" section

Next week expect more from The Firm and The Cult.

Which of these above should I listen to right now?

Recycler - ZZ Top
Live At The Maruqee - Sweet
Badmotorfinger - Soundgarden
Antichrist Superstar - Marilyn Manson

All are very clean and sharp cds for $35 from a guy off craigslist.
Pretty good score I think. Some will replace my vinyl records while others are titles I did not have.
I have a deal for a ton of used records on the hook as well. Let's hope I can pay for all this somehow.

The guy told me he loved Led Zeppelin so much that he named his dog Led Zeppelin.
But this was just another story of a guy who has all his music now converted to digital files on a harddrive or mp3 player (for his sake I hope both) and has no use for the "real" disc copies.

RE: Recently Purchased - Music, Movies, Food, Clothes, etc... - Some Other Jackass - 12-02-2008 02:34 PM

I recently purchased a little 1 GB mp3 player just because I am slowly becoming addicted to "gadgets". By the way, how many SD cards can one posses before it is proclaimed too many?

One more time, though. Can someone explain to me why you would spend $50 on a 1 GB iPod that is the same toy as ones like this Emerson 1 GB which only cost me $12?

Obvious example of fashion over substance.

I also went out early with some of the legions of insane people on Black Friday to get the 750 GB external hard drive for $88.

Those two purchases were completely painless on that day as I was operating alone and unfettered by shopping cart and up front parking. In and out in 15 minutes and noone was injured.

Picked up some Nike sportswear today at the local Big 5 store. As a USOC employee, Nike is one of our sponsors, and gives each employee a $250 credit towards their name brand. I'm the typical male in my hatred of shopping, but this was just too good to pass up, and needs to be done by Friday(I've been putting it off since September). Got some really nice Nike running shoes and a couple of Dri-Fit Compression shirts, and still have about $100 left. I'm not greedy, so I might just leave well enough alone at this point.

$24
The cds fit, now let's see if the cargo pants do as well.

Their vinyl records for sale were the most unorganized, sloppy and picked through I have ever seen in a thrift store. Nothing left but Xavier Cugat, Babara Mandrell and Beethoven symphonies and I could not afford to look though them for 30 minutes trying to find anything worth the effort this time.
The compact disc booty however, was well worth the stop. This place had a lot of good artists and albums to choose from.
Now be honest, do these shorts make my butt look big?

Craig's List came through again for me.
Some guy had listed the Jimi Hendrix Experience box set for $25. The listing had been up for about a week and I had nothing to loose so I asked him a few questions.
Not knowing what sort of person I was dealing with I suggested to him that first he might want to think about giving the set to a teenager he knew since he sale was so far unsuccessful and I ended my message by telling him that if all else fails, I would give him $10 for it. He went for it and a few days later I met the seller about a half hours drive from my house, gave him $10 and he gave me the box set.
It is in good condition and includes the four discs of unreleased Jimi Hendrix material and booklet. Great score for that price. Now I just need someone to buy my wife's purses.

He is performing in only 10 cities across Canada, eh, and he will only be at venues where he has never performed before. This is a great coup Thumbsup and I am very excited to see him. I missed out on seeing him when CSN&Y played what ended up being their last concert ever many years ago, thinking "oh, I'll see them some other time" and much to my dismay, it was their last. Sad

I may have mentioned this before but I've had to re-buy:

Dark Side of the Moon

Delicate Sound of Thunder
The Division Bell

as my old ones got crushed by an Xbox. I've replaced them with mini-vinyl replica CDs (DSOTM, TW & TDB are from the "Oh By The Way" box set and DSOT is a Japanese one).

Only received "The Wall" so far, still waiting for the others to arrive.

I've also bought this:

Now this is a post worthy of awakening a sleeping thread.
Well, perhaps for only one or two other forum members.
They make these composite hockey sticks that are way expensive but cool. (until you break it of course) So you can imagine how much more likely they are to last and be durable compared to even wood covered with carbon fiber sticks, which is what most goaltender sticks are. Wooden sticks can start at $45 and some have lasted me between 1 and 2 years. Composite sticks can be $140 and I do not know how long they last.

A guy last night was telling me that Cargo Largo, a local damaged and unclaimed merchandise freight store, had the Reebok composite goalie sticks for $40. I called him a liar. No way they are $40. Unless they are junior size and left handed. I could not rest this morning so I took the kids to Cargo Largo to investigate.

I did some browsing around, got some stuff for my wife and kids so perhaps the trip would not be a complete loss and then made my way to the sporting goods. Now also many times in the past when this guy tells me about cheap stuff at Cargo Largo, by the time I get there, it's gone. But I was hoping for some good deals on other stuff in case the sticks were gone. I get to the goalie sticks and they have two left. I take some measurements and hold it; look it over but it has a $69 price tag on it. That bastard made me drive here and now I have to justify to my wife why I spent 70 bucks on this stick when I have two at home that combined were 90. So I grabbed the one without a clear price tag and we go to check out.

The clerk has trouble scanning the price, so that part of my plan worked. She brings in another manager. Five minutes pass and she comes back without a price but calls someone else to help who then takes the stick away. A total of ten minutes have now probably passed and she comes back with the stick and says, "Did you want this stick?" "Well, yeah."

"$20."

"$20 total?"

"Yes."

"Well. Okay." ("holy shit!" in my head) The guy in line behind me said, "Wow. That's a good price." "Shhh. Not so loud." I replied.

Some places list this stick for $250. This way I will cry a little less when someone is hacking on me and if the thing only lasts 3 years, I will still be triumphant.

While I was in the store shopping, the store's music system played "Ma Ma Ma Belle",ELO, "It's All Too Much", The Beatles, "Hi, Hi Hi", Wings and "Roller" from April Wine.
I am fairly excited as it turns out. RBK Premier II Composite Goalie Stick Sr, Luongo curve - $20.

Thanks for reading.
Have a great weekend, fantastic Victoria or Memorial Day and I will be back Tuesday, kids. :Snoopy dance smilie:

Is that one of those Phoenix brand lenses? I thought about getting one. You shall definetly need a tripod and fairly high sensitivety settings. The thing starts at f8 most likely so use the 2 second timer and tripod as often as you can. Shuter remotes are good to have now as well. But I am sure you will be using it mostly on aircraft in flight. Jesus, at least get a monopod,(maybe you already have one) practice your panning and if you leave that thing in the sunlight it is liable to start a fire like a magnifying glass shining on balsa wood.
Also consider how long it must be. It probably has it's own tripod collar but you certainly want to remove it from the body when it is not in use. That can act as a fulcrum point on the camera's lens mount if it is not supported properly.
At the lens's full extension you should be able to get in the cockpit when the aircraft is a quarter mile away but it will be extremely difficult keeping the aircraft in frame.
Sounds like a lot of fun, though. Moon shots, the neighbor at her swimming pool, birds in roost. Maybe show us some of your favorite shots sometime.

RE: Recently Purchased - Music, Movies, Food, Clothes, etc... - mikoyan29 - 05-27-2009 12:21 PM

The Brand is Kenko. And I think it's f8 to f16. I do have a tripod and a monopod but it sounds like it's pretty light. I just want to see how it goes since I've been taking bird, deer and what not pictures and the 300mm lens isn't quite enough. If I don't like it, I'm out 180 bucks, but it has a 2x adapter, so my 300 mm can become 600mm...:)

Just because it is light in your hands though of course does not mean you can hold it very, very steady to get sharp images. Particularly out passed 500mm when every little movement of the camera and lens is amplified and exagerated as it relates to the focal length. At 1600mm I doubt you can hand hold in any position and get a respectable capture. I think invariably you should at least screw it on a monopod anytime you use it to help get the sharpest image you can. You got the monopod, you got the big a$$ lens; you may as well often use the two together.
That is about the price some of those Phoenix models were going for.

RE: Recently Purchased - Music, Movies, Food, Clothes, etc... - mikoyan29 - 05-29-2009 06:01 AM

I got my lens yesterday and played with it a little bit at the park. It was nice to be able to get pictures of some of the ducks and geese that I couldn't get before (because they were too far out). The lens itself is not too bad but it is a fixed aperature based on the focal length you set it to (it's gets smaller as you extend the lens...which is opposite what I'd like). But it was an overcast day, so I was pretty much in the higher ISO settings on the camera (which means grain.....sorry, can't bring myself to call it noise). All it's done is make me want to get a similar lens with the bells and whistles (aperature settings mostly). There seem to be some decent ones in the 800 to 1500 range.

Anyways, it looks like it is going to be a nice day today, so I'll probably play around with it some more.

Also, I got all 5 seasons of Babylon 5......

The Beach Boys - Endless Summer
Platoon Soundtrack
Amadeus Soundtrack

All on vinyl, and all appear to be scratch free... thus far I'd call the Platoon soundtrack basically perfect.

Also today, my Ubuntu promotional disc came in the mail. Huzzah, now I just need to pick up a new computer, as I don't feel like reformatting this one until I have another.

I don't like Big Mac's, I prefer the Quarter-Pounder-with-cheese.

Last night I went to Blockbuster to rent a Blu-ray film (which was Appaloosa, by the way) and I ended up buying two pre-owned Blu-ray's: The Dark Knight and Ironman - two great films.

2009 Chevy Malibu LTZ

Very cool little sedan that my wife will drive mostly. Lots of extras. 6 disc cd player that also accepts mp3 cd-r. My van is very jealous of that feature but all, and I do mean all of my wife's compact discs could easily be compressed to fit on one cd-r so that is not all that impressive or interesting to her. But last night I put in one disc that has all the albums of The Beatles in a tray and a disc that has most of the albums of Cheap Trick in a second tray. These will hopefully always stay with the car as a music option and there are still four other trays, XM radio free for a year and mp3 player connection; some of these options will appeal towards the misses.
But it is her car.

(Icouldgowayoverboardmakingmp3discsforthiscarbutmustshowrestraint)

It was important for me to buy a car from an American car company and we had other great buying incentives as well.
Save your arguments for multinational car companies and imports assembled in the U.S. this thing is my tiny shot in the arm of our economy and I really like it.

Bought the "Led Zeppelin Definitive Collection" box set the a few days ago, it arrived yesterday from Amazon UK.

Basically it's all of the Led Zep albums, minus compilations and "How the West Was Won", in mini LP replica form. Happy
I love LP replica albums, but they're hella difficult to change in the car.

What's in it:

Led Zeppelin (comes with the British (red text) and US (blue text) versions of the album cover)
Led Zeppelin II
Led Zeppelin III
(with little turning wheel thingy in the front cover)
Led Zeppelin IV
Houses of the Holy
(comes with the paper strip that hides the child's buttocks)
Physical Graffiti (with the holes in the windows and that...)
Presence
The Song Remains the Same
(with bonus tracks)
In Through the Out Door (with all variations of the artwork and the brown paper bag)
Coda (with bonus tracks)

The whole thing comes packaged in a sexy, black, matte-style box with the "four symbols" on each side.

No. See this time it is funny because the first pressings of In Through The Out Door came with record sleeves that would change from the greyscale to color if you, say rubbed a wet sponge on the paperboard.

Yes. The store has them in adult sizes as well. You might be able to find them at Target.com and have them shipped. I stocked up on a few of the Marvel shirts that feature Jack Kirby style artwork and others.
Some cool shirts out there.

Today I went to Office Depot and grabbed several tiny web cameras. They were discounted to $5 and some members of my family hope to start the Skype thing. Now most of our major players will at least have a start with so far pretty fantastic little web cams at a very inexpensive price.

I just came back from a used record sale. Records though mind you and not compact discs.
The pickings were pretty slim. They were boasting a sale of the l.p.s and 45s but were rather proud to hang on to the better stuff, it seems. I had much better luck at a record sale when the store owner died and they were selling everything.
But this time I picked up the following:
Eye Of The Tiger - Survivor (my first copy is pretty worn)
Straight Up - Badfinger
Heart - Heart
4 - Foreigner (again, my previous copy is worn out)
Share The Land - The Guess Who
Spitfire - Jefferson Starship

I was a little disappointed and I really had the urge to go ahead and stop at a thrift shop to look at their used compact disc selections but I talked myself out of it and instead went to the grocery store for some milk and cereal and a donation to Harvesters. I just have to let these cool my fix for some time

RE: Recently Purchased - Music, Movies, Food, Clothes, etc... - Pig (The Third One) - 04-18-2010 09:23 AM

Yesterday, my town had one of its garage sales.

I bought;

A Sony sound system w/ turntable and speakers for $25, a Wi-Fi router for $5 (still in original packaging!), and a $2 Polaroid camera for my cousin.

Now, onto the free stuff;

I got an Elvis 45, a CD cleaner, and a roll of film for my cousin all for free during the time period of the garage sale from my neighbor, and after it was over, I got three boxes of cassette for free from their curb. :D

RE: Recently Purchased - Music, Movies, Food, Clothes, etc... - Some Other Jackass - 04-19-2010 05:17 AM

A router for $5? Nice. And if it gives you any trouble I am sure you can get some free support at the manufacturer's site. Turn your basement into a coffee/lattee hangout with free wi-fi. On second thought, those people can sometimes be annoying.
Box of cassettes? Bunch of 80's stuff right? Early Amy Grant, two Madonna albums, and motion picture soundtracks like Vision Quest and Top Gun. Am I right? Probably a few keepers though.

I bought some camera gear which some I will resell. Listen up, drk229.
A Pentax K1000, two flash units, a Pentax M50mm f2, Takumar 135mm f2.5, Makinon 28mm f2.8, and a Lenmar 80-210mm f3.5.
I will probably keep the Takumar and resell everything else and hopefully still profit some.

Backspacer - Pearl Jam and Carnavas - Silversun Pickups

Now should I get Silversun Pickups' Swoon or just listen to Smashing Pumpkins more often?
I listen to "Lazy Eye" and it makes me want to listen to Pumpkins' "Drown". Maybe several more listens and I will come to accept Silversun Pickups on their own merits.

Backspacer is much better than Pearl Jam's previous self titled album. I already rank it in my top five Pearl Jam albums.

One of those iPod audio docks.
I caved.

You set the iPod in the dock and it plays through larger speakers. It will charge as well and has a clock but I unplug it when it is not in use.
It has an additional auxilliary jack in back for other mp3 device use.

RE: Recently Purchased - Music, Movies, Food, Clothes, etc... - Lady Floydian - 08-27-2010 03:54 PM

I have something similar -- it's from iHome. You put the iPod in at the top and it'll charge it for you, and you can play it as it has speakers. It's also my alarm clock. Very handy. It's in black and it goes nicely with my bright purple iPod nano.

As for what I've recently purchased, I pre-ordered the new Orb album on both vinyl and CD. SO EXCITED.

RE: Recently Purchased - Music, Movies, Food, Clothes, etc... - Pig (The Third One) - 08-27-2010 04:05 PM

I recently bought Led Zeppelin's In Through The Out Door on vinyl. A very nice purchase considering the price (a steal at around $15, because it even came with the original Brown bag paper cover!), and the fact that it's my favorite Led Zeppelin album.

To complete my Led Zeppelin studio vinyl collection, I only need Presence and Coda.

They're not really that confusing. There's a couple things to remember, like using Command instead of Ctrl for keyboard shortcuts and the lack of a secondary click, but other than that, you can pick it up in less than a day.

RE: Recently Purchased - Music, Movies, Food, Clothes, etc... - Lady Floydian - 05-23-2011 11:30 AM

Oh Lord, Hot Topic. Every wannabe goth and hipster I know shops there. Or they used to anyway. I didn't know that place was still popular; it certainly was when I was in college.

RE: Recently Purchased - Music, Movies, Food, Clothes, etc... - Joe - 05-23-2011 12:42 PM

I don't know why every wannabe goth and hipster you know shops there. However, it seems like the most well known store that sells music t shirts in my sister's surrounding, and the only one I could find that had a website with all the stuff they sold. On a side note, what do you think of the t shirts?

RE: Recently Purchased - Music, Movies, Food, Clothes, etc... - Lady Floydian - 05-24-2011 12:28 PM

The shirts are nice, though they're not my style. If they were, I'd probably wear one or two. Hot Topic was, at least when I was in college (2000-2005), very popular with the wannabe goth/hipster crowd. It was considered "cool" to shop there, and the store at the mall near my house was teeming with teenagers with nothing better to do, absurdly dyed hair, and piercings that made it look like they fell face-first into a tackle box.

Apparently the store has seen a revival of sorts, so maybe it's no longer considered uncool to be seen in one. I'll have to see if the mall near where I live has one.

I've pre-payed, pre-ordered the reissues of The Wall, DSOTM and WYWH on vinyl and the WYWH CD/DVD/blu-ray box set.

Not that donuts are the healthiest thing in the world to be eating, but it's better than eggs and bacon/sausage and greasy hash browns or something similar.

An Icelandic band called Amiina are playing in January as part of the Festival of Sydney. They were the string section for Sigur Ros (who I love) on a few of their albums. I bought a ticket for one of their shows.

How long have you been playing guitar Joe?

RE: Recently Purchased - Music, Movies, Food, Clothes, etc... - Joe - 11-20-2011 02:39 AM

I've been playing for around 5 years or so, I'm not exactly sure. THE guitarist on this forum would be pinkfloydfan1.

The fixings for Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. I don't know what we're going to do with all this dressing and vegetables, but I'll get creative.

Are you getting her for christmas? We don't celebrate christmas where I live. However, after a 2 week search, I finally found mac and cheese. It's expired, but I'll take the risk.

RE: Recently Purchased - Music, Movies, Food, Clothes, etc... - Dyolf - 12-23-2011 12:23 AM

Nope, she bought it herself.

Good luck with the Mac & Cheese Joe, it's been nice knowing you.

Whats a mac and cheese? Is it just a cheeseburger?

EDIT: It's just macarroni cheese? How did it take 2 weeks to "find" it? I can make a macarroni cheese in less than an hour....

you can make mac and cheese...but is it the cheesiest?

RE: Recently Purchased - Music, Movies, Food, Clothes, etc... - Dyolf - 12-28-2011 06:38 AM

Oh yes it is. I used 500g (17.6oz) of macarroni and 400g (14.1oz) of strong cheddar, as well as cheese sauce to make it creamy. Makes enough for about 5 people.

Woooow Smile! If you can tell me how to make it, I'd be the happiest person ever...keep in mind, I do not know how to boil an egg, so you'll have to be very very specific Smile

Why not learn to walk before you can run Joe?

Boiled Egg recipe.

Preparation Time

5 minutes
Cooking Time

2 minutes
Ingredients (serves 2)

2 eggs, at room temperature
Buttered toast fingers, to serve

Method

1. Place the eggs in a small saucepan and cover with cold water. Cover and bring the water to the boil over high heat. Reduce heat immediately to medium and gently boil, uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 1 minute per egg for a soft-boiled egg, 2 minutes per egg for a medium-boiled egg, and 3 minutes per egg for a hard-boiled egg.

2. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the boiled eggs from the water and place in egg cups. Serve the eggs immediately served with the toast fingers.

Maybe it's just because I learned to cook at a rather young age, but I don't see how macaroni and cheese is a hard dish to make. Cheese sauces are rather simple, once you learn the base. Start with a bechemel, which you can find the recipe for online, and then add shredded cheese to your taste. You can make white cheese sauces, yellow cheese sauces, blue cheese sauces (which I don't care for, but maybe you do).....then you can put those cheese sauces over pasta, vegetables, potatoes.....hell, you could make Welsh rarebit too.

1. Boil 500g of macarroni until cooked.
2. Make cheese sauce, comes in powder form from all supermarkets. Usually just add semi-skimmed milk and maybe water (depending on brand), by following instructions on the packet.
3. Make a layer of macarroni in a large baking dish.
4. Add a layer of strong cheddar (grated).
5. Add a layer of cheese sauce.
6. Repeat steps 3-5 until all ingredients are used up.
7. Place grated bread crumbs on top for a final layer.
8. Add some more grated cheddar if you have any left over.
9. Add come cracked black pepper to the top.
10. Place in the oven at approx 160-180C for 30 mins.
11. Eat.

I've been buying lots of vinyl -- Licensed To Ill, Paul's Boutique, Check Your Head, Ill Communication, Hello Nasty, Solid Gold Hits, The Mix-Up, and Hot Sauce Committee Part Two from the Beastie Boys. They're one of my favorite groups, and I finally had the means of getting the original vinyl releases and the remasters on vinyl, so I did.

Also, I bought the Wish You Were Here Making Of DVD, and I'll be getting that tomorrow. My birthday was earlier this month, so all of this was a treat.
