I have a video of Comfortably Numb live (9 and a half minutes), ending with a 4 and a half minute guitar solo while this shiny thing drops from the ceiling of the arena.

I wondered whether anyone knows where or when this was filmed
and whether anyone has the guitar tab for the solo.

it's from the 'a momentary lapse of reason' tour film called ' delicate sound of thunder'.
cheers! rocker

It's the original solo with improvisation. Try and tab it out yourself.

I was thinking he's talking about the PULSE Version. Don't know if they do the same thing on DSOT, I've never seen it. If it's DSOT: There is no tab, but if it's pulse:
Here it is! :;):

I don't have Kenebworth. But didn't David Gilmour play that guitar solo in the pouring rain?!

The video when the glitter ball came from the ceiling of the arena was on P.U.L.S.E. The Delicate Sound Of Thunder version has the glitter ball coming out of the stage behind Nick. And CN isn't on the Knebworth video.

on my version of pulse on cn the ball apears from the roof and gilmour gets soaked with water

:O I really hope and pray that they tour in the US.
I would be a very happy person.

I have pulse on vcd. There is a huge glitter ball, that eventually opens up into a sort of flower i guess.. And the guitar solo of that is probably my favourite of all time

- wishiwasdavesguitar - 11-27-2005 10:12 AM

yeah that cn from pulse is awesome stuff. i get goosebumps from it too. oh yeah

yeah Knebworth 90 CN kicks ass but my favorite is DSOT solo on cd but my all time favorite version is the live8 CN that takes some major beating

Live8
DSOT
Knebworth 90
Pulse

- djdnl14 - 02-18-2006 06:19 PM

well...emotionally because of the occassion I'd say that the Live 8 solo is the best but its too short in comparison to the P.U.L.S.E version lol I just love that solo and it gives me goosebumps even now and I've been listening to it for about 4/5 years still blows my mind :D

Erm...wow...even more reason for them to get the P.U.L.S.E dvd out as soon as possible the video just makes it all complete :music:

comfortably numb studio is unacceptable after all the live versions that blow it away.
