Rick sings on Comfortably Numb with Dave. And Roger Only sings on Brain Damage/Eclipse (the high-point of the album imo :) ) on Dark Side.

I can't believe anyone thinks Rick's voice is better than Roger's. I think Roger has one of the best rocker voices ever!

I never noticed Rick's voice on "Dogs" at all... will have to go back and listen!
He barely sings on "Momentary Lapse" at all, but his voice is pretty audible on harmony on a few lines of "Learning to Fly."
You can also hear him sing harmony with Roger on "Shine on." For example, Roger sings "Remember when you were young," and then Rick harmonizes on "You shone like the sun."
I can't hear Rick's voice on the Wall myself, but he sings pretty audibly on the live versions of Comfortably Numb.

Rick has one of the most taking, lyrical voices in all the world. I really do love it when he sings.

All three of the boys had (and still have) very distinctive voices.
I liked it best when they traded lead vocals in a song: Rick & Syd on Matilda Mother, Roger, Dave & Rick on Let There Be More Light, Dave & Rick on Time, Dave & Roger on Mother, etc.
It made it sound more like a band, all working together, than a leader with silent backing musicians (most of Final Cut).
I've always thought Rick had the most British voice of them all. Very crisp and clipped.

Ahem...er, I guess I was thinking post-Mr Barret. I mean, this thread is about Rick Wright, right? You aren't refering to Mr Mason, are you? What did he ever do except express his desire to cut me into little pieces?
Giving the matter some thought, between Syd on Piper and Dave on Saucer, I don't think any other band has topped the amount of "r" trilling and rolling that goes on.
I may be wrong. Being American, I hardly speak English at all.

I'm glad that there are other people besides me who really like Rick's voice!
A question: on the live version of "Breath" that they played at Live 8, was Rick singing harmony? He usually sings the high parts on Breathe, and it sounded like him, but I couldn't even see him, so I couldn't tell! What do you all think?

RE Live 8: No, Rick didn't sing at all. He didn't have a mic :(

Yeah, I noticed that at least once of the guys playing keys had no mic, but it was so hard to see either key player that I thought it might be the other guy who had no mic.
No mic for Rick? BOO! I always hate it when Rick isn't credited for vocals--worse yet for him to not even have a mic.
I hope that he actually had one of those clip-on mics and really was singing, but I fear that you are right...

...actually, if you are going to talk about the Barret era, Rick seems to sing backup on EVERYTHING (except for the stuff he sings lead on!). I mean, Barret and Wright's harmonies, such a great part of the early Floyd.

ricks voice actually resembled syds at the time. its a wonder to see the paintbox video and see rick sing it. it looks cool. and i agree with king bee, it would be so nice is a brilliant song. i was going to put that on my acoustic compilation, but sadly (or gladly) its a full band effort that is so sixties

Its great when Rick sings because his voice is so powerful. Well Roger's is damn cool and Dave's is smooth and very pronounced Rick's voice is just biting.
