- floydian72 - 03-17-2006 04:47 PM

does he live in america or england?

- cevor - 03-17-2006 04:53 PM

I think he's far more F1 style eh? I could see him driving at Monaco, that would be wild...probably in one of his Ferrari street cars though...lol

- pointmeatthesky - 03-17-2006 07:55 PM

Not Nascar, oh god not Nascar.

F1, sure fine, whatever.

But NOT Nascar.

- Rogerwaterhasgonemad - 03-17-2006 10:53 PM

nascar is like the best sport that came from beer

- Harris - 03-18-2006 01:18 AM

no nick should race V8 supercars in Australia and he could do an after race concert too. :D

What's the matter? Can't picture ol' Nick packin' some chaw 'n guzzlin' Busch Beer? Man, he's a natural! Just needs to work on his Southern drawl, grow back the facial hair, and work on his beer gut! I could see him putting pretty boy Jeff Gordon into "the wall" to take the lead, and then giving him a signed copy of said album as compensation afterwards to stave off the tears! It's all good....get 'er done!!!!

hes not ready for the redneck atmosphere of nascar :D

- cevor - 03-18-2006 06:03 AM

he'd never see it..there's the fans, then there's NASCAR and it's huge corporate, multi-billion dollar money machine...it's not the redneck southern thing it used to be...NASCAR is sweeping it's old image under the rug...Nick would see the side reserved for million dollar sponsors and owners with well spoken drivers who present a corporate image...yeck!

- whong - 03-18-2006 06:46 AM

Then it's up to Nick, with his more than considerable influence to bring the sport back to it's rightful place, being the "thinking man's redneck armchair activity of choice".....It's more than just turnin' left, ya'll!

- cevor - 03-18-2006 06:50 AM

:D

- whong - 03-18-2006 07:11 AM

and as to Nick putting ol' Gordon into the wall...."All in all, it's just another dick in the wall, ya'll!" Yee-ha!!

You know it's bad when you're at a bowling alley rolling a few, and the happy couple next to you(brother and sister, no less)each have their own #24 bowling balls, proudly polished to a sickening sheen with all those godawful corporate sponser logos all over them, rolling gutter balls and splits......appropriately shameful!

Yee Gods....what's it all coming too??

- Rogerwaterhasgonemad - 03-18-2006 09:06 PM

gordon is better driver then dale enrheart

but to keep it witht the fourum nick would have a cool looking car storm thorgonsen would design it and roger would sue for rights. and there tire changer rick wright would be kicked out and rehired and become the only tirechanger to make money off the car

- whong - 03-18-2006 09:20 PM

LOL....that's really humorous....good stuff!

- Rogerwaterhasgonemad - 03-19-2006 12:06 AM

matter of fact lets start a story

so 5 guys deside in there mechcanic college to start a band. ( this is the syd barret days)

continue

- whong - 03-19-2006 10:16 PM

wait...wait...wait...

You're getting ahead of ourselves here. These guys are architecture students who drink beer and play guitar on the weekends in a mechanic's shop that has yet to be designed or built. In other words, they're in the carport outside, with an extension cord run out, spliced to both their practice amps and the beer fridge.....

There's a torn picture of Rick Mears hanging lopsided, partially covering AJ Foyt's first Cummings Deisel winning Indy Car photograph......hmmmm.....the year must be...

- Rogerwaterhasgonemad - 03-31-2006 11:23 PM

in the year 25 25 gotta love that song

umm...that's Earnhardt, first of all, are you referring to Jr.? I can accept that opinion if so, if not.... Angry

- Rogerwaterhasgonemad - 04-02-2006 08:25 PM

yes jr but in the end martin and the aaa cars owns

- cevor - 04-03-2006 11:14 AM

Mark is the best spokesperson NASCAR has, an awesome gentleman racer, but, he never finishes the job, thus his number of runner-up finishes in the championship...I'm rooting for him to win this year so he can go out with a title... :D

- Rogerwaterhasgonemad - 04-03-2006 07:53 PM

that would be great and gordon get second

and number 3 sorry but i think the imtindator got what he had coming to him

- whong - 04-04-2006 01:49 AM

Big win for my man Tony Stewart this past weekend! He may be constroversial, but he's one hell of a good driver! His "laps lead" stat blows everyone else out of the water....

- cevor - 04-04-2006 06:01 AM

agreed whong...nice job by Tony

umm...got what he had coming to him?? I don't recall anyone dying from any of his actions, that statement is at least a insult and at worst..ahhh

I agree with that sentiment - love to have him here resident in Aus - don't know if it would be quite his style though - I don't think he has any V8's in his collection

has anyone read his book - Into The Red ?

Yeah....I've got it. The following cars are featured in it:

1901 Panhard B1
1927 Bugatti T35B
1931 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300
1935 Aston Martin Ulster
1936 ERA B Type
1949 Frazer Nash La Mans Replica
1953 BRM V16 Mk 2
1955 Jaguar D-Type
1957 Maserati 250F
1959 Maserati T61
1961 Lotus 1B
1962 Ferrari 250GTO
1970 Ferrari 512S
1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona
1978 Porsche 935 K3
1978 Ferrari 312T3
1979 Ferrari 512 BBLM
1979 Lola T297
1983 Tyrrell 011
1989 Ferrari F40
1990 Porsche 962
1995 McLaren F1 GTR

The book was published in '98, so it's highly likely he's got more in his collection today. And yeah...there's a few V8s in that collection......
