For me, it's an equal toss-up between "The Blue" and "This Heaven".....I'm going with the latter, mainly due to the killer Hammond work and that awesome bass, which is apparently played by Gilmour himself. It sounds like double bass or upright to me, but it's not credited as such.....Guy Pratt plays it on RTN dvd.

"The Blue" is better live, imo....and "This Heaven" is a tad better on the OAI album......therefore getting the nod! Thumbsup

My favourite track is On An Island. I absolutely love the 2 solo's and believe them to be among Gilmour's bests. The harmony parts, the overall singing and the lyrics are all top notch. Furthermore, there is so much emotion in this song, particularly as it touches on Steve O'Rourke's death. Oh and the structure reminds me of that of Comfortably Numb.

No, I like it too. I just don't think it's anywhere near the best on the album Thumbsup
