Errors In The Wall Movie
Okay, so you know in the Wall movie during 'One of my turns' Pink throws the television out the window.

But when 'Don't leave me now' comes on, the TV is there, and stays there for the rest of the movie (or at least til comfy numb).

It was either:
-a- a continuity error
-b- we're supposed to infer that the hotel staff brought Pink another TV set.

When he has just thrown the TV out of the window, Pink cuts his hands on the glass, but you can actually see the fake blood containers in his hands. I consider that an error too.

Here's another, it's an animation error. During Goodbye Blue Sky (I think) there is blood dripping into the sewer. If you watch very closely one of the drops actually skips over one grate and falls into the next

Your Thoughts ?

It's also possible that the film is not entirely in the right sequence given that it's probably dreams at some points.

That is an interesting explanation, really.

I remember quietly criticizing some of the animation of the film the last time I watched it including the blood and grate scene but still find the movie entertaining.
I realize, pinkfloydfan1, that you are just trying to spark interactions and discussions all the same.

And at the risk of getting off topic slightly my wife had this discussion the other day.
I pointed out the fact that some of the crime shows on American television often fail to use even the same basic language by the characters.
One show uses "un sub" when talking about an unknown subject, the possible perpetrator while another says "perp" and still another just says "our guy". Another example is one series constantly just says "vic" in place of victim while most others will use "victim".
Now these are just a few examples of a few reasons why I am critical and not entertained at times by these shows and incidentally these shows are ones that my wife does enjoy.
Taking some small offense to my criticisms, my wife recently said that a movie like Iron Man is believable but not CSI Miami? My reply was well I know Scooby Doo is a cartoon and not real but it entertains me and becomes believable. The distraction of certain errors or what I would call inaccurate portrayals, to me lessens the entertainment value and therefore makes the dipiction less believable. Not to mention that nearly the entire cast and New York accents of CSI: New York and the dead pan characters of whatever that one crime show is that once had Mandy Patankin, I just do not like at all. They all can get DNA evidence processed in two hours and five people do all the work no matter what internal job requirements and jurisdictions may be in place.

This does not have much to do with noticing indifferences and discripencies of the motion picture Pink Floyd The Wall.

Or does it?
I'm off.

Thanks for allowing me to express these things; not that you had a choice. And I am sorry if I ruined your topic, man.

People who review and edit film need a very good eye for detail. There's a 99% chance that they did, in fact, notice that the TV and blood packets were there when they shouldn't be.

However, the way that creating a film works, once the footage is in editing it isn't really feasible to bring the actors and crew together, reset the scene, and film it only for the shots of where, say, the TV was. The cost of doing this would be astronomical, and in some cases it would be impossible as once the actual filming is done the actors and crew move on to new projects or time off.

Basically every film has errors in continuity, visible equipment/personnel or other such things. Check any movie on IMDb under "Goofs". The Wall isn't even that bad for it, and is the kind of movie where something like the TV can be passed off as being destroyed only in a dream.

Hitting Bottom Isn't A Weekend Retreat.

I don't believe the t.v. thing was not so much a mistake but, an artistic way of presenting the story ie. the animation, the footage shown out of sequence, just as I don't believe it was not to be taken literally when Pink (as a child) sees himself in the asylum as (an adult) in a straight jacket, etc. Just an artistic point of view. As far as the blood packets go well no-body's perfect. hmm
