Dream Theater covered the whole of DSOTM, search here for a thread related to it. Personally I thought it was lifeless, the vocals are just awful, it's only saving grace was the performance by Mike Kidson, sax player from The Australian Pink Floyd Show.

And now the final solution can be applied.

I agree with you on the vocals being bad, but the instrumentation on "Time" sounded quite good, I thought.

DSOTM was kind of pedestrian, by the numbers. ACYL was a highlight for me, probably due to lack of vocals. I've heard them do OOTD, Echoes, Sheep, and some of The Wall songs too. OOTD was especially good....Dream Theatre's drummer just tore the thing up....brilliant!

Seems almost no one can do The Floyd's vocals justice.

I really dig the Dream Theater DSOTM covers. I have the cd & DVD!

I also like the Flying Frog Brigade(Les Claypool) Floyd covers of Animals & other Floyd!

A topic in this forum as well, I like Les's stuff much better too.
