Floyd fans help needed
Hi all,
I know this is probably sacrilege, but I have to sell some of my stuff. Part of the stuff is an original 1973 copy of "Dark side of the moon" (Solid blue triangle). It is complete with the 2 stickers and 2 posters and black inner sleeve.

Does anyone know where the best place to sell this is? I have looked at some specialist websites but they all seem to have just the second press (triangle not filed in).

I also have a framed limited edition "wall" print from the gig in Hyde Park, London in 2006 which is signed by Mr Waters and is number 36/1000. The ticket is also framed with it.

Anyway, sorry if this is not the place to discuss selling, but divorce forces me to and I am gutted....:-(

Ebay. That particular pressing could fetch you several hundred dollars or more, depending on its condition. If you can, check out what other copies of the album comparable to yours in quality are selling for, so you have some idea of what you can expect.

Thanks Ladyfloyd, I looked on eBay, but can't see any but I'll keep an eye out. I would like it to go to a true floyd fan rather than a retailer.

Shine on....:-)

I'm sure there are plenty of people selling copies of TDSOTM. I don't think any are the same pressing as yours, but the quality might be the same (condition of the jacket, vinyl, stickers/posters). Maybe I didn't say what I wanted to say correctly, but that is what I meant.

I'm not sure what you mean by "true Floyd fan rather than a retailer", though. I got all my Pink Floyd vinyl through Ebay, because there was no other way for me to get it otherwise. Thankfully the people I bought from were smart, and not looking to just make a buck, so I didn't get ripped off. There's true Floyd fans out there looking to pick up pieces to start their collection or fill in gaps.....that's how I got mine, after all.
