Hey you's...

My name is Steve Birnstihl, and I manage a band called Floyd Factor, based in Toronto, Canada. We're a 6-7 piece project, only a year old, but we've been through a lot. From Syd Barrett-esque insanity, to our drummer breaking his collarbone at the start of the summer schedule. The show has always gone on though... We've worked hard on our sound, and we have some truly great personnel now.

Please feel free to check us out at http://www.floydfactor.com sometime, where there's lots of live video, photos, info, etc.

And BTW, not to blow sunshine, but is by far the finest forum of it's kind on the internet. Keep it up everyone!

Shine like the sun, Steve B.

I'm Greg Jackson, manager of Childhood's End. I'll save space and not use the tag lines Dan. I'm currently preparing promotional materials, re-modeling the website and myspaces for CE. See news here... http://www.pinkfloydonline.com/forums/sh...http://www.pinkfloydonline.com/forums/showthread.php ...
I aspire to be the east coast Dan Johnson, supporter of all tribute bands and mediator of the differences between them and their fans! Laughing
Until last fall I had a very narrow view of other tributes, but after getting out to see PFX and The Aussies (several times) I'm now making a mission of seeing every one I can. Reviews to follow right here and throughout the trib community, because apparently I post like a teenager..Rolleyes
I love the tribute community and what Dan has created here, I ride his coattails like a snowboarder. sneaky ..
oh yea, I co-moderate a little web forum called Pink Floyd Online..

updated for accuracy..pirate

And now the final solution can be applied.

Hi, as a newbie to Floyd forum type stuff this is a great place to start

I'm Adam, the "Nick" in Uk Tribute band PINK FRAUD. The bands been going since 96 but i joined in 2002! We do material from 68-79 and play as much as Floyd would have done it as possible!

We too have recently rebuilt our website at http//:www.pinkfraud.co.uk as we are having a bit of a relaunch!

We seem to be a bit different from most floyd bands in that instead of having a huge band and Pulse style light show we go for an authentic 70s style recreation, Hammond, WEM amps, Gong, Flares & wigs!

Have a look and let us know what you think!

Thanks for the welcome , i've joined a couple of fan forums cos A- i'm a fan & B - i've taken over running a lot of the band and wondered why no one had yet!! nice to get a reply so soon..though i'm off to bed here in the Uk pretty soon!

as for the wigs.....we're trying to do the whole "70's look" thing, and seein as most of us look like Kojak....damn those 70's rock haircuts, i had one til i was 22 then it all went away of it's own accord!lol!

If you check out the site you'll see that we've got approprate Guinness t-shirts & flares etc. dodgy aviators (nick at pompeii!), original WEM amps like at Pompeii (even got an original Floyd WEM speaker), painted the bass drum heads like Pompeii (though i can't afford a silver sparkle kit!!) and have one of waters old scratchplates on the Bass. Still searching for more stuff to up the authenticity!

Just wanted to do things a little differently from the Pulse tour!!

Great to have you here! Please make sure that you submit all your upcoming gigs to the Worldwide schedule (in the correct format!) and keep us abreast of your shows!

The Delicate Sound of Floyd
Hi all,

Just a quick line from 'The Delicate Sound of Floyd'. We are based in the south of England, there 5 of us, Drums, Bass, Keyboards, Guitar and Vocals. Have a listen to our demos on MySpace and give us your honest opinion. Constructive critisim welcome because we cant see the woods for the trees. We have a new drummer and bassist since the live recordings were recorded. Breathe was recorded in the my front room (apart from the drums), my daughter 17 is playing bass on Wish You Were Here and is now our bass player.

Thanks
Aviator
