original cut. Shows more of the band, and less really outdated space graphics.

To the one hand, I like the documentary part in Director's cut - it's funny and interesting. But, to the other hand, I don't like special effects in Director's cut, especially the part with destroyed city - it's not beautiful looking done with computer graphics. So, I voted for Classic version.

The Director's Cut. I love all the interviews and behind the scenes stuff to go along with the performance footage.

RE: Pompeii? - Directors Cut Vs. Original
I like em both.
I could do without the space graphics in the director's cut....yeah very pretty but there's always the Space channel if you want to look at nice planets and asteroids. One problem i have with it is in 'Echoes' the way it breaks the continuity. In the original film, there is the long slow zoom in shot, where at one point Roger walks out from behind the keyboards and picks up his bass. the space footage breaks it up so, he's not there, then all of a sudden, out of thin air...
Or in 'Saucerful' I could do without the shots of all the ruins. yeah, we get the idea.
If i'm going to have it on as background for cooking or cleaning, I put on the original film. But the interviews are great.

but..the volcanoe did get the city.
I now live in Hawaii and understand how nature does happen.
The eruption of Mt St Helen better describes this eruption though..
ASH..
