RE: Osama bin Laden is dead
I thought he's been dead. Because, his videos and threats had a pattern, and then suddenly he stopped "posting videos". But yeah, good to know he's dead.

RE: Osama bin Laden is dead
I have disagreed with the President on several things during the last two years of his administration, but today I'm prouder than hell to say I voted for the man, and prouder than hell to say I will be voting for him again next November.

He did what 7 years of the Bush administration could not do. Excuse me, would not do. No, we were too busy dicking around in Iraq to worry about Bin Laden. Well, Obama took care of it. He dead. Thank your deity of choice. He gave the order on Friday, destroyed Trump's chances of the GOP nomination on Saturday, killed Bin Laden on Sunday.

That's called "getting isht done." He just outright guaranteed himself re-election next year.

RE: Osama bin Laden is dead
Even though the guy was a terrorist, and killed innocent civilians, and such...is justice really being served by killing him? Should we really be celebrating his death? I don't think Osama Bin Laden's death should be celebrated. I don't think Hitler's death should be celebrated. I don't think anybody's death should be celebrated. Killing is an evil action. And, in my opinion, by killing killers, we're becoming the very same evil we're fighting. Osama Bin Laden should have been captured. That would have been the perfect scenario. I'm sure the US would have captured him if they could, but they could not, so they killed him. Which I think is less useful. I don't see why anybody's death should be celebrated.
The picture of Bin Laden's dead body looks fabricated. This whole thing is really fishy, and it's freaking me out.

RE: Osama bin Laden is dead
Joe, you are aware that the picture of "Osama" purported to be his dead body is in fact, a Photoshop right? The US government hasn't released any photos of the body yet, and they are still in the process of determining when they should. There is nothing fishy about this in any way. You don't need to be freaked out about anything. So please remove the tinfoil hat, there's no conspiracy anywhere. They gave him a proper Muslim burial, only they dumped him in the ocean somewhere to keep his body and/or grave site from being a place of pilgrimage for other terrorists. That's just common sense. Sorry. The last thing we need is a bunch of terrorists descending on a hole in the ground, vowing revenge. They're doing that already, we don't need to give them a meeting place.

You have no idea why the US did what they did, nor the intel they've slowly been gathering over the last three or four years, dating back to before Obama's election, so you shouldn't wax philosophic about something you don't know anything about. There's a difference between taking joy in someone's death and realizing that some people aren't fit to breathe oxygen anymore for the threat their continued existence creates. There's no joy in that, only the resignation that sometimes people need to die. That's not a good thing, that's not a happy thing, that's a fact of life. Life is not black and white, as much as you might think so. It's very naive to think that way. Life is shades of gray. Get used to it now, or face a sh!tload of disappointment when you get older.

RE: Osama bin Laden is dead
Celebration of death is wrong but has happened for thousands of years especially with leaders, it's the hatred which is worse and in this case the US more than any other country had a right to feel angry at this evil man, the hatred that OBL had for the US was in my opinion not justifiable and to express this hatred by killing thousands in the way he did was unacceptable. Let's all pray that one day all humanity will understand that life whatever our beliefs should be respected, appreciated, loved and above all to have the upmost gratitude for the time we have on this, and lets not forget, still wonderful world.
