I read that Stanley Kubrick wanted to have Atom Heart Mother's music for his movie Clockwork Orange, but PF members didn't agree, 'cos Kubrick had a plan to cut music in to pieces.
Is that really true or just a rumour, do you know? ???

I thought it was 2001 Kubrick wanted to use PF music for. Clockwork Orange is too disturbed a film for their nice music, surely.

no, it wasn't a clockwork orange, it was 2001 on the part where you're flying through space at insane speeds. it would've been great if pf could've done the music for that. i can already hear the psychedelic roars begin to take their toll!

as far as it being too "disturbing"...pf could've still done the soundtrack, because half of their stuff is insanely brilliant anyhow...

the actual score of Clockwork Orange and Barry Lyndon are my favourite Kubrik soundtracks. not seen eyes wide shut, though.

i was wondering the same thing...

the movie is strange (which is up my alley considering the fact that i love movies like "mulholland drive", "being john malkavich", "naked lunch", "brazil", and the list continues and continues) and the book was even better...

"disturbing" would be more like "the exorcist"...haha... :Oo:

I think it is a fantastic commentary on the modern, (okay not MODERN modern), world and the way that society treats both the convicted and mental health.

The book is absolutly amazing. Amazingly amazing. I first read it without the translations at school. I then read it twice with translations. The film is alright but I'm a bit of a fan of McDowell. If is good so is Britainnia Hospital. Shesh!

even the space in between has it's purpose

Pink floyd and a clockwork orange would work well together, they are both a bit weird and brilliant.
I would have said the end of Bike would be a very good for the weirdness aspect
