Saw the Wall 3 times, twice in 1980 and once in 1982 (I think it was 1982 anyway) at Earl Court, but it was the last night the 4 played together until Live 8.
Stand out memory would be DG appearing above the Wall to sing his part of Numb first time I saw them in 1980. If you didn't know that was coming, like I didn't, it was a marvellous surprise, a rush. A wave of emotion went through the audience it was trully an awe-inspiring moment, plus the solo. He just sounded so hopefull after all the depressing stuff, perfect theatre.
One night the sync went with Gerald Scarfe's backgrounds and they had to sort of pause, other than that it was flawless.
When I saw them for the third time after The Wall had become famous it was really strange because there were some very old hippies (well at the time they seemed old but were probably my age now, 42) dressed in paisley and beads, and there were quite a few skinheads wearing green jackets which was the fashion at the time (yes I know I sound like Grandpa Simpson there).
It was like the hippies hadn't realised how much floyd had changed from the psychedelic days and the skinheads had maybe seen the film and thought all that fascist stuff was what the band really thought. It was odd to see such different people who, it seemed to me, believed in a floyd that didn't exist.
I loved the shows, and afterwards one time walking down the street from Earls Court after the show we saw about 6 guys walking down the street on the other side carrying one of the bricks from the wall over their heads. God knows how they got it out and what they did with it when they got it home.
I still have the tickets and programs from the 3 shows.

Momentary Lapse of Reason
Cleveland Stadium, 1988
It was raining hard and even though I was protected by a stadium overhang, I was so far away from the band that I didn't feel I was part of anything at all. Honestly, it was one of my least favorite concert experiences.
I have much fonder memories of two Roger Waters In the Flesh tours and David Gilmour's About Face tour.

Well, I've never seen them live (obviously, considering my age), but I do have a nifty story to share about when my dad went to go see them when he was my age.
1977 in Milwaukee, WI, my dad was sixteen years old and payed $20 for one ticket to see Pink Floyd at the baseball stadium. It seated about 10,000 people, but there was room for about 1,000 people to get down on the diamond in front of the stage. Everyone else had to sit in the seats. The first 1,000 people to buy the tickets got a pass to go down onto the field. My dad was friends with someone who worked on their school newspaper, so they pulled their resources and copied the pass 500 times and gave it out to their friends. :D So anybody who knew my dad or his friend and anybody who liked Pink Floyd got to go down on the field! Dad says he got to get really close to the stage, too.

First saw them at Wembley in 1977. First time I'd been to a concert in a large arena. Then two Wall shows at Earl's Court in '80 and '81. At the concert in 1980 I spotted Bryan Ferry in the audience. I've seen loads of acts live including Floyd, Zeppelin, Stones, Who, Dylan, Eagles, McCartney, Elton etc but that was the only time I've seen a rock star off stage. The '81 concert was the next to last one with the classic line up so nothing historical there. Next up was 1988 at Maine Road, Manchester (open air). It was still light when they came on so only got the full effects of the light show in the second half. London Docklands Arena 1989. This remains my personal favourite out of them all. Most if not all the audience was stood up for the entire second set. Finally 1994 Earls Court, and at last a good seat four rows from the stage. No binoculars needed this time. Don't ask me about the light show though, I never really saw it. When watching from further back and you see the stage bathed in coloured light, nothing really happens down the front apart from the bulbs changing colour. Still it was good to watch the band up close, they really seemed to enjoy myself.
I suppose I'm a bit of a lucky bugger.

I saw them a few times when I was very young, because my mum and dad went to see them so much. I just asked my mum where it all was.
Age: 8
1988: Dortmund and Rotterdam
1989: Nijmegen
Untill here (just before I turned 9) I lived in Germany where I was born.
1994: Hockenheim, 2x Rotterdam and Earls Court
I don't remember all off it though, but the '94 shows are still in my memory.
Forgot to mention the Gilmour show in Amsterdam the 19th.

Just re-read my post and noticed the above faux-pas. Of course they really enjoyed themselves.
