I wonder if anyone has the balls to go over the Barrett and have a conversation with him, I have seen pictures and he seems somewhat accessible if you know where to find him

I've met their music many times if that counts...

RIP Syd Barrett - 1/6/46 - 7/7/06
RIP Rick Wright - 7/28/43 - 9/15/08

I was going to vote Barrett, since I did meet him some years ago, but something went wonky with the poll.

That was when I visited Cambridge, anyway, and I saw him, did a double-take and walked up to him and asked him what was the cheapest store for vegetables, like cabbages and tomatoes. It only occurs to me now I might have sounded like a bit of a cheapskate. It was the only thing I could think of to ask.

Sorry if I gave you the wrong impression, Syd.

how did he react? was he friendly, or just kind of a quick "leave me alone" answer

He basically pointed me to a store which was a street or so away, which he said had good vegetables. He didn't seem too startled when I walked up to him, but of course I'm not sure he realized that I recognized him. And I didn't want to bother him.

I did recognize him from looking at more recent photos on the net.
