The sheer bloat of that tour shows through on the dvd. All those extra musicians. I realize this stuff may seem 'classic' to those of you around age, 20 or so, and this performance is a nice keepsake, but it is not representative of the true legacy of the band. The original films were nice to see, though. I also don't like the sound mix. TOO too too too too, MUCH much much much much, REVERB reverb reverb reverb.

Rain? In Earls Court? Surely not!

Sorry, but that's a different show. EC is an indoor arena, no rain. The gig with the rain was in Texas, and it was throughout the night. They cut the show short and gave up half way through Run Like Hell.

I've got at least 10 days till mine arrives. It seems to be the perfect Floyd concert in my mind, the 2 albums with the most songs donated being Division Bell and DSOTM.

It's enjoyable. I don't think the picture is the greatest though, but that's probably due to the source material. The sound is very good, and I'd say, much improved, even over the cd. Packaging is pretty good, although I'm not a huge fan of these overlapping discs...that smacks of trouble to me.
I'd have liked a more interesting booklet than what was included, but this suffices.

I never really enjoyed the VHS version, but this I can sit down and watch for enjoyment. The extras are nice, what I've seen of them, anyway. Gilmour's not the world's most accomplished juggler, is he?

Overall, money well spent.
