While Roger waits backstage, weeping softly and cutting the genitals off some inflatable pigs.

Roger Waters should just sit in the audience and watch the band he tried to take advantage of play his music without him.
Evidently he thinks he's still too good to tour with the rest of the band.Oh well

Actually Roger's all for a reunion tour from what I hear, it's Dave who doesn't want to get back together.

RE: Your dream Pink Floyd Setlist - What do you want played?
I'm going to be as realistic as I can with this, with a few exceptions. It would be an all-out tour, and it'd be maybe in a couple years or so, after The Wall tour is over. To honor Rick, the tour is called "A Reality of Sorts", in that it's really happening but only sort-of because of no Rick...

It would sort of be as classic and all-encompassing as possible. They'd jam a lot, like the good ol' days, but with modern technology they'd be able to fit in awesome and detailed pyrotechnics and lighting without having to eshew any of the extended jams. Roger even gives into playing a song off Division Bell, to please Dave, who in turn plays a song off Final Cut. Over what to play, though, they couldn't agree at all, so Nick settles it by suggesting they play the most agressive sounding songs since they have to be all so indecisive and negative...
Also, it seemed like they never ever liked chopping up DSOTM, but here they'll deal with it. It's extravagant, there's lots of people with them, such as Snowy White, Dick Perry and Jon Carin most likely on keyboards and backing vocals... I really can't think of anyone else for keys.

I hope you're able to picture it.

First set---
1.One Of These Days (The stage is pitch black except for the dry ice, and in the background, almost hauntingly, you can hear tapes of excepts of old songs and other sounds, excerpts from The Wall and stuff, and then the bass starts and the smoke clears, and Roger becomes visible. As the rest of the song progresses the lights go on the rest of the group, with lots of eery-ish lighting patterns, then something like a slower strobe light during the middle part where the vocal line is, and then just a sudden burst of AWESOMENESS as it goes into David's slide solo, with all kinds of scary images flickering quickly on the screen behind while the lights go mad. Then it naturally extends, Dave and Roger just jam the hell out of it, and by the time it slows down you've noticed the lights have gone down, and then... )
2.In The Flesh (This being the second part, for the live atmosphere. Full-lighting, fireworks, the hammers arched over the stage with the general Wall theme to it all. As good as awesome can get.)
3.Run Like Hell (Less pyro and lighting here except for some strobe and kind of mob-like flashlight-work and maybe even torches for the mob sequences and verses. They jam for the usual eight or so minutes of the live version, and afterwards Roger has his welcome speech and all that.)
4.Dogs (I wouldn't imagine it diverting from the studio version much at all, except with the necessary changes for live performance, such as Dave's telecaster substituting for the acoustic. It gets rather intense though, with very dark lighting except for the beginning, and when it comes to the end, it's entirely sudden and abruptly in the dark)
5.Speak to Me/Breathe/Time/Breathe Reprise (It picks up almost like the beginning of the show, then as Breathe begins it goes into very Dark Side-themed colourful lighting, and the back-up singers make their debut in Time. Just as Reprise ends, it once again goes dark and the beginning riff and sounds of Another Brick begin.)
6.Another Brick In The Wall Part One/The Happiest Days of Our Lives/Another Brick In The Wall Part 2 (I figured Wall themed like before, but they jam Part Two for a good ten minutes or so.)
(Roger then gives announcements and stuff, a couple smaller inflatable pigs are thrown out, and they enter a short, semi-acoustic set.)
7.Mother (hammers)
8.Pigs On The Wing Pts 1 & 2 (The big pig Algie makes it's appearance now, with that film of the band around the Battersea photo-shoot on the screen behind. Snow White has his awesome solo, too)
9.Fearless
10.Green Is The Colour
11.Wish You Were Here
And now away with the acoustics...
12.Shine On You Crazy Diamond Pts I-IX (The whole thing, with some extended jamming to keep it together, and fireworks, tons of pyro, two airplanes crashing into the back of the venue and the light extravaganza of the night.)

Then intermission, everyone can take a piss break and get drinks and talk about how that was just the greatest thing they ever saw.

Second set---
1.Have A Cigar (Once again, as with the seemingly running dark theme, the place is totally dark for the lone guitar riff, then as the rest of the song chugs into view the lights burst on, and the awesome continues.)
2.One of My Turns (I just have to add this for personal reasons... )
3.Hey You (The Wall theme some more with plenty of scenes from the movie on the screen)
4.Money/Us and Them/Any Colour You Like (The change loop starts as soon as Hey You ends, and they really go into an all-out thirty minute jam with this, though of course Us and Them isn't altered or extended in any way, being more of a calm in the storm of awesome jamming)
5.Set The Controls for the Heart of the Sun (I think lots of candles and space-themes would be really awesome for this, visually. It'd be pretty much like the Ummagumma version.)
6.The Great Gig In The Sky (Since it is the last time, they'd have to really find the very best female singer they could possibly get for this, really make the best live rendition possible.)
7.Fat Old Sun (This would vary -- some nights, if he felt, Dave would sit down with his acoustic for this, and it wouldn't divert much from the original, or he'd stay to his electric and they'd jam.)
8.Pigs (Three Different Ones) (Here would be an absolutely necessary jam, talk-box solo included)
9.Cymbaline (Dave would go acoustic for this one too, it'd be very chill)
10.Not Now John (It would begin abruptly as the eery organ at the end of Cymbaline susbsides)
11.What Do You Want From Me? (It too would kind of start as a segue from the last)
12.Echoes (First Roger would say thanks and introduce the band and all that, and have a little speech, and then... the end of the night. It would of course have lots of intense jamming and once again an immaculate light-show presentation)
13.Brain Damage/Eclipse (It would begin just as Echoes ends, and as the end of the show would be massively epic, with streamers with various lyrics and stickers and things, and after it's over they hand out bucket-fulls of guitar picks and drum sticks and t-shirts!)

Encore---
1.Astronomy Domine (They'd bring out a liquid light-show for this, and make it very reminiscent of the Syd days)
2.Childhood's End (Here Dave would get an awesome solo, and it'd overall go for a good ten minutes, as a very quick wall is constructed)
3.Comfortably Numb (I don't even have to say this would be just plain epic. By the time it begins the wall is complete, and then knocked down at the end. A quick wall, yes, but effective)

And concerts were never the same...

I'd be more than content with just three songs;
Shine on, all parts
Echoes
Dogs

As for an encore, I'd appreciate a dusted off and evolved The Narrow Way.

RE: Your dream Pink Floyd Setlist - What do you want played?
The show should open with Shine On You Crazy Diamond (I - IX) and close with Comfortably Numb. That much is obvious. If I had my way, they'd do a lot of material they either never did live, or didn't do live that often. So, the following numbers:

The whole of Obscured By Clouds
The Embryo
Not Now John
One Of The Few
See-Saw
Remember A Day
Paintbox
Let There Be More Light
Cymbaline
Green Is The Colour
Fat Old Sun
A Pillow of Winds
Fearless
at least one song off of Animals

I would prefer if they left some of their overplayed numbers OUT of the setlist, aside from the show opener and closer. WYWH is a must though, as is One Of These Days, and possibly Astronomy Domine/Interstellar Overdrive. If they're going to do anything from TDSOTM, I would prefer it be Time or Any Colour You like.....just not Money. It's been done to death, and no one will die if they don't get to hear it for the 500th time.
