I must admitt I am a selective reader. A subject or topic has to capture my interest (you are not the only one with ADD Anderson). I think they made a wise choice selecting Steve as a moderator. This is a man that will go far in my opinion.
I must say that Steve and Simps are probably my two favorite posters on this site. :)

Er, has anyone said you are going to be any kind of mod at all?
No, dipshit, they didn't.

Mr. Hill himself said that everyone performs a kind of moderator function, and that's what I'm responding to.

Thats certainly not the impression you gave me, Simps or I'm guessing the majority of people. Not dissing you, but look back on that post...

PFOnline decided at the same time as inviting me onto the team that he would also make all positions "global". This was largely because some moderators can be very busy at times and so aren't around here to moderate their section. Even if we don't follow a particular board much, if something is reported to us, we can now moderate any board we wish.

I currently am in a period of not being completely available all the time, but if I get an email reporting something, I almost always follow it up instantly. So, if you spot anything at all, don't hesitate to either click report or to pm one of us individually. We can't spot everything, so you are all like sub-moderators. Our eyes and ears as it were. :)
Here is my reference: irrefutable evidence of what, and only what, I was speaking on.

"We can't spot everything, so you are all like sub-moderators. Our eyes and ears as it were. "

But the way it was written seemed like you EXPECTED to become a mod and would SETTLE for sub-mod.

Nope. No reading between the lines here. Now, off for reconstruction of my back.

Seamus is not a mod though.

And for the record, there are no plans for any other moderators yet, (unless someone resigns and a gap is needed to be filled). I am not sure why people keep bringing up topics about this, especially of late. The only time I recall ever talking about needing more mods, or moderating in general was shortly before I became one. If I had not been offered the position, it would not have bothered me, as I was undecided anyway until the last minute when wowser persuaded me that I am one of the few around here that could do the job well enough. I am considering my future at the moment though, so if I end up in a position soon where I can't be around much, I'll hand it over in a flash.

Now, can we stop creating topics and talking like we want to become moderators please.

I had thought about it once or twice, (mainly when there as something to modrate and nobody there to do it, back when mods weren't global), I would never have put myself forward though and was set agains it for a while.

Stop this you guys, with all this talk of both people wanting to moderate, (why, I'm not sure other than the need of power), and others saying it's not all it's racked up to be,you keep making me want to quit. :(
