there have been an increasingly large amount of spammers on here, and i dont what this forum to go down with spam, and im sure some of you are thinking about things to do about it. I propose that to enter this site, you should have to pass a basic quiz about floyd, or have to be recommended by another person, and if they no noone on here, they must speak to a moderator first.

What! That is a crazy idea, making people take a quiz. There are a lot of great members here, who've just gotten into to Floyd-and woudn't know much at all. I mean spammers are annoying, but they come and go. You could just ignore them. Really when you open a thread that you immediatly realize is spam, that's annoying, but then just click back and make a self memo that the topic isn't a valid one.

Please report any inappropriate posts, which include spam, to the moderators by clicking the "Report this post to a moderator" link on the post. The first mod who happens to log on will see that report and take care of it. Thanks.

I have a question, if there are a few spam threads near each other, should we report each one, or just one of them?

I was considering posting a new procedure for reporting spam. You are right -- if there are multiple spam messages posted around the same time, we will see them all if only one is reported. And if only one is reported, that will prevent the Mods' in boxes from getting 19 messages like what would have been required a few minutes ago if all 19 of that scumbag/bot's posts were individually reported. So, I say, right now when you see a lot of spam posted around the same time, just report it once and we'll get it all

I will do this. Sounds like a quicker and more effective way to do things.
