I always actually report it to a mod, I don't type in any messages though, I just report it and send it to any mod.

Are the reports sometimes taking an excessively long time to go through or are people sometimes forgetting to actually report them after replying in the spam that they are reporting it?

Please remember to actually report the spam or people will think it has already been reported and the spam will stick around even longer until a mod happens to see it.
I get plenty of them J...is it possible for the "reporter" to designate to which mod? I don't mind if it works that way, but rest assured, they're getting reported... Cool

And now the final solution can be applied.

I've reported a lot, and in the message I just write "spam". should we bother reporting if a moderator is online?

I didn't mean I'm not getting any reports. I get plenty of them too but the past couple of days I've noticed a few that I came across that someone said "reported" but I didn't get an actual report for it. Maybe I just happened to catch it early enough before anyone else noticed this since they seemed to be recently reported ones where I found this happening. As far as I know, the "report post to a mod" link automatically sends the report to all mods and there isn't a way to designate specific mods.

Yes, like cevor said, please report spam posts even if mods are online because we can't possibly read every single post or we'll be busy in another section or doing something else so we may miss it.

I figured it out! They sneak in in the middle of the night, in North America, when most of the members are away asleep!

Yes, that does seem to be the case quite often. Luckily I'm a night owl. Cool

OK I'm re-closing this now.
