I was inspired to make an online poll based on another topic on the message board about which songs they would take off of the Echoes: The Best of Pink Floyd compilation, and which songs they would replace them with. Wow...by the time I got done, 14 songs got changed. The first thing to go was that horrid butchery of "Echoes".......so I guess we'll need a new name for the compilation too!

I got rid of the butchered "Echoes" along with the 5 post-Waters stuff, adding Have a Cigar, If, Young Lust, Pigs (TDO), Stay, Summer '68, and Mother

i picked 8 songs that I would change, replace Bike, Echoes, The Great Gig, High Hopes, Marooned, One of These Days, Set The Controls & Sheep with: Brain DAmage, Have A Cigar, Mother, Nobody Home, On the Turning Away, Speak to Me, The Thin Ice and Young Lust. I know a lot of people won't agree with me but that's what I like.

OK, the butchered Echoes needs to be there, Echoes is too long to have the full version on and the album is an introduction to Pink Floyd, and to be fair, it's not a bad edit.

The only song that really has no business being there is The Happiest Days Of Our Lives, and I don't wanna hear any crap about "It's the lead into ABITW2", because they could have (and should have) used the album/single mix from A Collection Of Great Dance Songs instead.
