Sheep is the heaviest.

The use of that Bible verse, the mellow organ in the beginning, then the lead into the heavy guitar and synths, just perfect.

I don't know if it's THE heaviest song they did, but it's definitely on the short list. I happen to think it's the 2nd best song on the album behind Dogs, and I love Roger's singing on it. Normally I'm not a big fan of his voice, but here it works well for me.

I would include "When You're in" from OBC in this group of songs as well...........

Not sure if Sheep is heaviest but it's right up there with The Nile Song, Careful With That Axe, Eugene, One Of These Days.

The Nile Song always sounds so heavy cuz as far as I know that the drums were miked differently when it was recorded.


Listen to What Shall We Do Now? on The Wall Live 1980-81. That's pretty bone crunching too. It has some of the most deep, guttural guitar sounds that ever came out of the black strat!!
