I voted for Echoes a long time ago...I definitely changed my mind. Interstellar Overdrive is amazing. Especially the live versions.

All good ones but having to choose I will have to say Shine On.

Comfortably numb has the best and most expressive solos for me by far! I've made a cover video of both solos ages ago, played as close to Dave as possible :)

Skill-wise, it's probably Comfortably Numb. But I think my favourite solo of all time must be Mudmen...

While all of Gilmour's solos are absolutely phenomenal, I'd have to choose Time as my favourite. It was the first PF song I've ever heard and the amazement I felt when I first listened to the solo has stuck with me.

I voted Echoes, but if I chose a different one, it'd probably be Coming Back to Life or Mother. Maybe not the longest or most masterful solos, but just beautiful..

I can't pick as I go through periods of loving different PF albums / eras. Like right now I'm listening to Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall a lot, particularly while at work. So I'm likely to pick something from there. I do love Dave's slide guitar solo on "Shine On, part 6" (and the version on his In Concert DVD).

Having said that there's some brilliant guitar work on Obscured by Clouds which is always overlooked, and The Final Cut (which is the album's saving grace, in my opinion). But then I love Dave's debut solo album which is guitar-porn, basically.

I suppose, gun to my head, I'd choose the first "Comfortably Numb" solo as it's the solo I'd choose to show someone what a fantastic guitarist sounds like.
