Best Album - Musically
Which album is best, musically?

This thread is twinned with this thread: http://www.pinkfloydonline.com/forums/sh...http://www.pinkfloydonline.com/forums/showthread.php so we can compare opinions in music and lyrics.

I voted for The Piper at the Gates of Dawn

Snake, history will never know what she did. No one will ever learn the truth. Her story... her debriefing... will endure only in your heart. Everything she did, she did for her country. She sacrificed her life and her honor for her native land. She was a real hero. She was a true patriot. ~ EVA re: The Boss (MGS3)

Although not my favourite album, once again, as with the lyrics poll, it has to be Animals.

R. I. P Rick Wright (28/07/43-15/09/08)

So? It's a great album musically. Listen to "Interstellar Overdrive" and tell me otherwise, I dare you. The melodies are gorgeous, and they're very fun, and happy, they're really out of this world. Nick's drumming is great, Rick and Syd harmonise beautifiully, it has a nice blend of sound effects, instruments, and really creates an atmosphere of its own. Hence why I voted it, so kindly shove off. :D

I agree with everything you said, but it's not the best music Pink Floyd ever made though, is it? Hm? Rolleyes

Considering it's the only one I can stomach to listen to more than once in a month, it's my favourite musically
